There's no more money to spend is there. All these nonsense links and alleged talks for players are to try and keep the fan base on side. I wouldn't be surprised if our transfer business is done.
No problem in walking away from Rabiot if he wants too much money. Real problem is getting into this situation in the first place.

Not overpaying for an average central midfielder with a bad attitude is one of the only things the club has gotten right this summer. I understand the desperation to sign literally anybody at this stage, but Rabiot isn't the answer.
If this is accurate then I'm glad, and frankly a little surprised, we've not capitulated and offered him a ridiculous salary. Maybe there is a glimmer of hope that they've learned from past mistakes.

I assume that's just a throwaway line from someone at United in a desperate attempt to placate the fans. There's no way a deal like that is ever getting off the ground. United don't have the funds and the player would never sanction the move.

The thing is, if they had a proper DOF it would be a good start to slowly start working to get things back on track. However I suspect they run the club like it's all corporate. Just hire their friends and ass kissers even if they are not qualified to do the job. No appreciation for what it takes to make the sporting side a success. It is heartbreaking.
