It’ll be interesting to see who starts out of him, Mount and Amad in the final. I doubt all three start.

I wish he was anonymous but that defending against James for their goal was tragic. What made it worse is that Mount had at least put in a shift defensively and was covering those situations well. Then minutes after him going off, his replacement does that.
It’s a bit tragic when a team that can barely score a goal in the league and plays with 6/7 defensive minded players, in a very negative formation is castigating one of only three attacking outlets for poor defending. He should be staying high ready for a counter attack and not chasing full backs. There should be more than enough players to cover that!

Unfortunately, when you play against a team whose full backs are a threat, you have to put in a shift defensively if you are an attacker. Even under Fergie when we won most weeks, the likes of Giggs, Park etc put in a great shift defensively. Perhaps this is part of the reason why we were successful back then.

Tottenham 1:0 Man Utd New
No idea why our most dangerous player didn’t start .

I fear he'll leave now with no CL football. That'll be how we cover the costs. And if Amorim stays, he probably should for his own good. He'll go on to have a top career anyway.

Was our most threatening player in the second half despite only playing 20 minutes of it. Created a great chance by himself after being on for two minutes whilst we watched Mount so nothing for the prior 70.

Amorim got this so wrong tonight.

Yeah the Mason Mount call was the wrong one. He came on and was direct at the very least.

I get not starting him as he's a great impact sub, but not starting for Mount? Being behind Bruno as the left 10 would've been understandable, but what we actually did beggars belief.

Amorim got this so wrong tonight.

He was terrible, came on against a tired Porro and still didn't get any change out of him. And the one good opportunity he had to pass to Dorgu who had the box to himself, he instead did his usual shot too close to the keeper.

Always takes an extra unnecessary touch, which renders him ineffective despite looking dangerous.

Bruno did, just a shame he was shite. As for Garnacho personally feel this game was crying out for some of his pot shots because their GK was flapping at everything.

The bar for rating players in this team is so low but thought he looked at least a little bit of a threat when he came on.

He’s erratic and his end product is poor but he at least poses a threat which is something that can’t be said for Mount.

It’s one thing not to start him but to leave it so late to bring him on was utterly ludicrous.

He should leave. Too young to be taking on this much baggage and toxicity. Look at mctominay for example absolutely loving life and the game.

United are broken to the very deepest level

The shot was heading for the corner of the goal was it not? Looked like a good save

He only looks dangerous if you aren't paying attention. That extra touch is one detractor, the fact that he can't get his head up is another.

He had one moment tonight that could have been a good one, if he'd slipped Dorgu in just after coming on, but instead it was the usual low percentage shot from the edge of the area. After that he failed to get himself or the ball past Porro at all.

It’s not gonna work out for him under Amorim. Something will have to give

Towards the corner, but it would have had to go through Vicario given the angle. It had an xG of 0.02, and an xGOT of 0.06. That is to say, it was an easy and expected save.

If he'd played in Dorgu, we'd have had a real opportunity, but that would require Garnacho to get his head up, something he's never looked like adding to his game.

Spurs line up was so defensive. Not necessarily bad but as soon as they went ahead they dropped back even more into a low block.

Mount should have been pulled at that instant.

If he played in Dorgu we would not have scored we haven’t scored a goal from Dorgu doing anything before

It was a decent effort and the best test we gave the keeper all game

People have been crying for ages saying he should be used as a last 20-30 mins sub and now that he is that he should have started? Confusing lot.

Obviously should have got more minutes because Mount was doing his best Casper impression but we could have probably played for another 90 mins and not scored, we're just a shit team.

Garnacho and Amad should have been our wingers all season, with Bruno as #10 or part of a midfield 3 with Mainoo and Zirkzee as the focal point.

Instead we’ve pissed around all season with this ridiculous formation trying to fit players into positions they’ve never played before and completely wasted a years worth of development for the likes of Garnacho, Mainoo & Amad. Plus Zirkzee too really.

Garnacho not only not starting to today but also not coming on until the 70th minute, while Mount did his usual disappearing act, was scandalous. You can bet the spurs defenders were delighted.

That was our best chance from open play. He created it himself. Dorgu created nothing before he came on.

We rarely score from Garnacho either, he's our most wasteful player by some degree. It was a rubbish effort and the wrong decision, the lengths posters will go to in order to defend our most wasteful player is crazy to me.

It wasn't at all, that's just silly. It was our second lowest xG effort all match, out of 16 shots. It was same shot he tries time and time again, almost always unsuccessfully.

I fecking KNEW this was coming, absolutely saw it coming a mile off as soon as I saw he was on the bench:lol:. I said it in the pre-match.

I know it’s his brother but he gives off a very selfish vibe. Will 100% be sold in the summer I think.
