At what point do we start expecting more of him? Almost a guaranteed starter in the team now and it's been about 2 years since he's come into the first team and he still makes stupid mistakes. And we are funelling so many chances to him to a point where it appears that he is our best attacker at the moment when he clearly is not.

Two glorious chances where he doesn't even work the goalkeeper, barely tried to take on AWB as he probably knows his dribbling is useless if he can't beat anyone for pace. Can't pass for shit as he misplaced a very simple 5 yard pass which led to West Ham's first goal.

Feels like a lot of misplaced faith in our inconsistent shit attackers coming good.

For better or for worse, he's our best attacking prospect. He's young and we should persist but remember to take him out the firing line from time to time.

I'd like to see his progressive pass statistics because I almost never see him play the ball forward. Almost never. It's always a check back pass or a square pass, or a cross, but never a forward penetrative pass, or a pass forward into Hojlund's feet.

He was so active today but almost none of his actions where productive.

He'll still get chances to play until he either hits form or plays himself out of the starting 11

Sort of what I mean today. Amad would be getting pelters for that performance and be questioned whether he’s ever good enough, but it’s just another day at the office for Garnacho who’s seemingly an automatic starter. And why in gods name ETH would rather have him on the end of these chances than Rashford is beyond me.

He gets a feck load of leeway with fans because his style is aggressive and direct which United fans will always gravitate to, but he’s not got enough quality to be an automatic starter right now. Either his technique needs to improve or his decision making needs to be more consistent, because right now shunting Rashford onto the right and/or perma benching Amad isn’t worth what Garnacho is giving us as a sure fire starter in his preferred position.

Yeah he’s an interesting one but let’s be honest, he’s being depended on without necessarily being ready due to us blowing a wad of cash on Sancho & Antony and Rashford basically being woeful for the past 18 months or so.

Unchecked power is never a good thing. We will ruin him

Great assist on Ham’s first goal. Good and exciting as he is, he dangerously and foolishly gives the ball away farrrrr too often. This really needs to be seriously addressed by our coaching staff. I’ll tell you one thing, a veiny, red faced Alex Ferguson would have long ago been in his face and blow dryer down his throat threatening his life about giving the ball away like that. And long ago that careless shite would’ve stopped and Alejandro would be a much better footballer by now.

That is the difference between now and then.

Squandered good chances and gave the ball away that led to their first goal, not a good game for the kid.

He’s been pretty poor this season but he’s our top goal scorer in the EPL with 2 goals and 1 assist in 9 games.

This is just how bad this season been for goals, we’ve scored 8 goals in 9 Games and our eight attacking options if I include Mount and Bruno have scored 6 between them and Garnaucho got 33% of those, it’s obvious what United’s problem is?

They don’t take their chances, don’t score more goals throughout the team. If we were grading their ability to score from the following categories;

1. Corner and Set Piece - 4/10
2. Direct Free Kicks - 2/10
3. Breaking Down teams low block- 1/10
4. Fast Transition Counter Attacks - 5/10
5. Overloading the Penalty Area - 2/10
6. Third Man Run and Cut back penalty 2/10
7. Penalty Kicks - 3/10

We can’t get penalties as the wrong people are not on the pitch against tired legs, we don’t score direct free kicks because Eriksen and Rashford are not taking the majority of free kicks. We need a coach and at least a new right winger and an experienced CF just to address the woeful quality we currently have within the squad.

A Man United team scoring 8 PL goals in 9 games is reason alone to sack this idiot?

As I said before, we are fecked if he's our best attacker.
It's difficult to make a case for anyone being our best attacking player. Bit like trying to pick out the most attractive turd in a toilet

Don't disagree.

But we had plenty of good reason to sack him even over the summer, I can only shrug my shoulders at what is happening now as I expected it to pan out how it as.

Selfish, wasteful, one dimensional. He isn't as good as he thinks he is and Rashford is twice the player.

For someone who idolises Cristiano he sure hasn't learnt his biggest lesson. Stop trying to score beautiful goals and focus on efficiency..

Unfortunately he’s never going to be a top level player. His decision making and poor productivity doesn’t show any signs of improving. He’s not always going to have 7/8 chances per game to eventually take one. The fact he’s currently our biggest threat is a concern about our attack in itself. Our front line are so far off the level of the top teams right now.
Give him a chance , are we writing off our best attacker at 20 years of age now ?

I guess it's encouraging that he gets himself into dangerous positions but he really needs to become more consistent with his final ball. I know he's young and all but he's been in the first team for 2 years now. I hope he works on it because this will be the difference between becoming a very good player or an ok player.

He’s really not our best attacker, he’s an emerging talent that still needs his wings clipped now and then, the reality is our 8 attacking options are not great; Garnaucho maximum is 10-15 PL goals and he’s more effective when he comes off the bench against Tired legs, Rashford should be our best striker but he’s not getting 10-15 PL goals this season unless we change the coach, Hojlund could get 10-15 if he gets service and Bruno if we get a load of penalties, Antony won’t be here, Amad might get 5 or 6 goals, Mason Mount might pay 5 or 6 games and Zirkzee might get you 4 or 5 goals. That’s a maximum of maybe 45-50 PL goals, they currently have 6 from 9 Games.

We are almost hoping and dreaming that they start scoring 1.5 goals per game between all of them which won’t happen so if we don’t take absolute drastic action in December/Early January we could be in the bottom 6 at Christmas and the season could get seriously embarrassing.

Here’s the issue we don’t have an experienced PL front three, that worry our opponents, this is what should happen and it might be the only way to save the season, is we must get rid of Antony for £15-20m add the £25m we are going to get for Sancho and then SJR needs to add £50m from the $100m(£77m) final investment payment this December which was part of his share purchase.

This would give us a conservative £85-95m
We need to make Brian Mbeumo our number one priority he can play across the front three but he immediately starts at right wing, he’s 25, would cost £50-55m and already has 8 PL goals, he’s on 40-50k and has 18 months left on his contract, this is a deal that can and must be done, by January 1st I’m guessing he’ll have 13 or 14 PL goals, if we have to go to £60m and do it in two instalments, it’s a no brainier, Then we need a short term fix at CF, both of our two CF are currently unreliable with form and fitness.

In the same way we sighed Johnny Evan’s, we should go sign Danny Wellbeck, he’s another on 25/26 contract so maybe we offer a 2 year deal to January 27 he’ll be 35 at the end of the contract, knows the club, loves the club and is in great form with 6 PL goals this season plus he’ll be good round the younger players, I know Danny quite well he used to date a friend of mine, and he’s a stand up Guy, don’t get me wrong he likes to go out a little bit he looks after himself and he’s matured massively, he’s also the sort of player who will play til he’s 36-37.

I’m not sure what Brighton would want for him maybe £10m because of his age but looks like an essential deal, he’s won a PL and CL with the club Plus he won 2 Fa cups with Arsenal, I think he’ll enjoy a return to Manchester and the elder statesman role, he’ll also get much more out of Marcus.

The last two signing who would help us are Leon Goretzka and Antonee Robinson. We should be able to do a 6 month loan for Goreztka who offers goals from midfield and experience and a genuine Left back who offers creativity, assists and good defensive support. Yes I think we can get all 4 for £85-95m and if we don’t, who ever is in the Dugout will struggle to get this current squad above 11th or 12th in the EPL.

His finishing is not good at all. Misses way too many chances. On top of that he’s selfish. Infuriating player.

I couldn’t be assed reading that essay but someone else might find it interesting

Ridiculously wasteful.

Even if he's young, you can't be missing this much repeatedly.

Someone needs to get hold of him in training and work on his technique and composure, cause he's got none when it matters.

Same story again. You can argue all you like about him being young and time to improve. But you can see from a young age when a player has good decision making and football IQ. His technique is just not solid enough to make him consistent. Will be the same story 5 years down the line.

It's difficult to make a case for anyone being our best attacking player. Bit like trying to pick out the most attractive turd in a toilet
Very true. he should be viewed as a prospect, but he's basically getting Januzaj-ed. I don't think a new manager changes much until we sign some better attackers.

Not even close to elite. Maybe he'll get there one day but we're supposed to compete vs elite teams yet but he and Rashford wouldn't get close to any of them.

Should be a sub at best.

He’s a good young player but A) very one dimensional due to the fact that he’s got no passing ability to speak of, and B) should be backup / second choice rather than a starter. We should be picking between him and Rashford wnd signing a starting level LW.

He was wasteful, he usually carries on all game if he misses chances to finally get a goal. Think he'll do that next time

This guy thinks he's 06-09 CR7. The fanbase hyping him up probably hasn't helped as well. All he cares about when he receives the ball is getting into a shooting position. He should never start every game. His best performances for us have almost always been coming off the bench against a tired fullback.

It's really pissing me off seeing him smiling after missing chances. He must be in double digit figures for bad misses this season. Continuing to use him as our main attacking threat every game is going to see us score fewer goals than we ever have in the PL era.

He’s nowhere near an elite talent, but he is a trier. As others have said he’s a bit one dimensional and probably shouldn’t be playing every minute for us; we don’t have many other options though.

Until we have starters setting the tone, I think we’ll struggle develop the talents we have. The likes of Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund need to be around better players than themselves to elevate their level. Out of the three Mainoo is clearly destined for the top whereas the other two are currently squad player material and should be backup to and chasing the place of better players.

The major problem is that he has no competition. If he has a bad game and misses untold chances, he knows he will still be starting the next match. Getting rid of Sancho and the other guy without replacing them has left us seriously low on attacking talent. If we had a Saka, Salah or Son then we win today’s game at a canter by three or more goal. Very worrying!
