Selfish fella, makes the wrong decision 9/10 times. So many of our attacks die because of him.

He's being overplayed anyway, so there's no reason why he shouldn't be getting just 30 minute cameos with the odd start here and there, at least for the next few weeks.

Unfortunately he’s never going to be a top level player. His decision making and poor productivity doesn’t show any signs of improving. He’s not always going to have 7/8 chances per game to eventually take one. The fact he’s currently our biggest threat is a concern about our attack in itself. Our front line are so far off the level of the top teams right now.
I could probably quote this every game for the rest of his career. I want him to do well but there is something fundamentally flawed in his technique in striking a ball. It’s just not sound enough to produce end product consistently.

Can't work out if his constant running at players and getting a shot away is a genuine attemt to play to his strengths or if he's using his place in the team as an opportunity to audition for another club.

Sir Alex would have given him a hairdryer for that performance.

Disgustingly selfish at times.

What's happened over the last few years is that we've been so poor that any slight bit of promise or quality at times makes players like him look decent. He's a prime example where he's been thrust into the team as the answer but he's nowhere near good enough currently and not as good as he now thinks he is.

He is exactly the type of player we don't need for the situation we are in now. Absolutely no interest in the physical side of the game and no interest in the defensive side of the pitch, no interest in hard work. He just wants to show off with the ball. He has a child's football brain.

That passage of play near the end where he ignores Mazraoui's overlap, runs into 3 Chelsea defenders, runs backwards, loses the ball and doesn't bother his arse running back was shameful behaviour. Casemiro had to take a yellow to kill the dangerous situation his idiocy caused.

I would sell him in a heartbeat if a big offer came in.

As I going crazy? How is he our starting winger? He has chances and makes the wrong decisions all the time. I know the rest of the wingers are not any better, but the quality in the team is just filled mediocrity.
We have 3 wingers fit currently and is our highest goals/ assists so far

He's playing exactly how a 20 year old kid will perform from time to time. The upside is that when he's good, he's bloody brilliant and the potential is there to be a really effective player.

No need to overreact. He could probably do with a rest and let Amad have a few starts.

If he didn’t throw a tantrum every time someone chose not to pass him the ball, I might be more forgiving in my judgment. But his constant petulance is incredibly frustrating—especially considering how often he loses possession himself. Watching Casemiro give him a well-deserved bollocking was honestly a relief. He needs to stay grounded and focus on improving his game, or this attitude will hold him back.

One of Garnas bad days. Still only 20 but needs to get his head up.

The chance at the end was nearly great execution.

That bollocking from Casemiro was deserved.

Some proper thick decision making.

He’s also never going to get the better of someone like James 1v1. He’s not strong enough and he really lacks balance in duels.

Is that when Cas went apeshit?!

He would have taken him off after that scuffed shot, and rightly so because his head totally went after he hit it right into the keepers arms. You don't leave a player on who is quite clearly trying to make up for a mistake and just making more mistakes in the process.

absolutely didn't have his brain turned on tonight. some of the choices he made were so puzzling

for this one, he just needed to release Amad:

I’d love to see how our video review sessions and attacking sessions go during the week.

Like what is said when we are watching back the infuriating decision making by our forwards? And then what is done to rectify and improve on that decision making during training? And then what is the justification for continuing to select guys who do the same thing again every week?

He's usually been our best winger for the best part of a year, but on certain ocassions his performances are absolutely frustrating. Today was the worst i've seen him

Quality control
A thick selfish cnut and will be for the remainder of his career, no coach will change that.

Shocking, absolutely shocking.. No football IQ, selfish, incredibly bad decision making..Ruud should have taken him off and not Rashford.. This guy won't survive under Amorim, unless maybe he's converted in to a wingback.

Was good in the last 10mins when Reece James started tiring but he was dreadful before that.

The wastefulness is extremely frustrating but I find it hard to rate fast wide players who cannot dribble. It's why I'm always lost when people think he's a top talent.

Buy some proper experienced wingers and let this kid sit on the bench and learn. He isn't a first 11'er yet if we want to be a serious top club

I dont want to agree with this just yet. I want to believe that he is young enough to imrove his decision making and then he has a place in a team that want to compete for the big trophies.

Involved in everything was true. He got the ball about 30 times and probably got 1 good shot and two crosses that passed the first defender to show for it.

The backtracking and defending of Garnacho's performances is hilarious.
It’s so frustrating because youll see that shite described as “dangerous “ but then have another attacker never get passed the ball more than 2 or 3 times and have people call them “anonymous” even if any of their limited actions were good.

Him ignoring that ball through to Amad should be shown to young wingers as an overdramatic example of why you need to get your head up.

This is the exact performance I expected of him. Exactly! However, professionals who see him everyday, see something else.
He is not ready to start games at this level.
I think we would have won that game if we started with Amad instead.

I don't really know where to begin with him. One thing is for sure, though. Amorim will immediately force him to improve his decision making and be less selfish, or he will have no place in his team, rightfully so. Can't recall an attacking player in PL with worse decision making. Not even Adama Traore.

Pretty much this. The praise of him in here is a sign of how poor our standards have become. The fact he’s regarded as our most “dangerous” forward threat is really concerning.

Kieran Richardson would be our star man in this team.

Rashford gets a lot of stick on here - often rightfully - but Garnacho is also a big reason our attack isn’t clicking. Not only is his finishing poor, he also doesn’t look to find his teammates in better positions. It’s extremely frustrating to watch but something that should be able to work on.

Another young player who starts off by looking promising in his first season and then proceeds to get worse. There's absolutely no development of youth players at this club once they are promoted to the senior squad. I hope Amorim can sort this

Was surprised Rashford was taken off instead of him.

Not that Rashford was doing any wonders, it was evident that Garnacho was the one to be substituted.

I think ten Hag got undue credit for his managing of youth players and we're seeing the negatives here.

A combination of playing too many minutes, and being given undue influence because ten Hag wasted our budget on shit like Antony have left Garnacho looking knackered and thinking he's Ronaldo. He needs knocking down a peg or two and to somehow try and knock the selfishness out of his game.

He isn't a good enough player at this stage of his career to be this predictable.

The second one was unforgivable

They must be embarrassed when they watch it back in the coming days. Surely right? I’d be ashamed in a bloomin Sunday league game if I saw that pass was on but I chose not to release it.

He’s not alone in fairness

Even our brain dead captain…you know…the experienced leader…was making equally poor decisions in possession.
