Mbeumo is a very good player but you think he's same level as Isak?Crazy fee for Isak. Notably he only had one more goal involvement than Mbeumo last season.
Odd that you took what he said to mean that.Mbeumo is a very good player but you think he's same level as Isak?
He’s got the talent, but he does have some question marks around fitness.Crazy fee, well done Newcastle, can only hope he flops which would be the icing on the cake. Always a possibility when a big fish moves out of a smaller pond and there is also his injury record.
Odd that you're a newbie from 2013 but you came back to say that. You OK mate?Mbeumo is a very good player but you think he's same level as Isak?
He's very close to that level I think. Isak is certainly nowhere close to being twice the player Mbeumo is, as their pricetags would suggest.Mbeumo is a very good player but you think he's same level as Isak?
eh? I drop in and out, football not that major for me, but Liverpool my team, most family is Utd, I enjoy the general chat on here compared to most forums, not sure what your point is?Odd that you're a newbie from 2013 but you came back to say that. You OK mate?
What part of Wexford are you from dude?eh? I drop in and out, football not that major for me, but Liverpool my team, most family is Utd, I enjoy the general chat on here compared to most forums, not sure what your point is?
I'm also really good thanks.
Last season you could make the case Isak was only below Haaland in terms of best strikers in the league.Mbeumo is a very good player but you think he's same level as Isak?
Euros. Players that they've sold plus Jota insurance money. Not difficult to look up.
There is no credible source saying they received/will receive insurance money for Jota, they actually spent money giving his remaining contract value to his family (estimated 20m).Euros. Players that they've sold plus Jota insurance money. Not difficult to look up.
He is ok. Not winding people up.Just curios as I see you support Liverpool. How come you spent 11 years and 23.711 posts on a rivals forum? From where comes this motivation?
I know ye don't like net spend talk cause it doesn't suit your narrative, but come on, Coutinho was sold for about £140m in the end which financed them deals, £75m and £67m.
Before the Isak transfer, Utd had net spent about £60m more than Liverpool. So even with Isak and probably Guehi, Liverpool might end up overall outspending Utd by about £100m, lets see what happens in the final hours. When you consider what Liverpool have spent for the last few years, and the money they have taken in with the various football successes, this still leaves the club in a financially and PSR very good state.
If you were to be honest, you can't really argue that Liverpool have just been throwing money around to buy success.
I think he can have as much of an impact to our overall game for definite, Mbeumo can go on to become a very special player I think.Mbeumo is a very good player but you think he's same level as Isak?
Why do I need to justify it? They'll try to do it in the pitch by winning. Just don't think it's a big deal and people are being jealous. Barely spent anything last season. Net spend over 2 seasons is not worse than ours.Whatever makes you justify them spending 650m this window I guess.
Every player in the PL is insured. There was a big case regarding Sala because the insurance company was arguing that everything hadn't gone through when he died. The amount was settled but Cardiff was asking for more than the transfer fee as per their insurance. You can then imagine that Jota's insurance was quite high. There is no credible source saying they received/will receive insurance money for Jota, they actually spent money giving his remaining contract value to his family (estimated 20m).

Just strange how that was the statement to bring you back in on your high horse.eh? I drop in and out, football not that major for me, but Liverpool my team, most family is Utd, I enjoy the general chat on here compared to most forums, not sure what your point is?

I think he's in the US given the number of fecking afverts I've seen!People tripping over his teeth at hotel receptions across Europe.

that made me laugh more than it should.didn't mean to come across like that, I really like Mbuemo and think he'll do very well for ye, as I do with Cunha, two very good signings, I do feel Isak may be just a level above, but that's just opinion, and as you say, Isak was playing for a better side, and goal scorers always have a premium to be fair.Just strange how that was the statement to bring you back in on your high horse.
Mbeumo is one of the leagues most effective forwards playing for Brentford.
Isak was playing for a better Newcastle side.
High ho Salah, Away!
I think his point was more that some clubs can just decide to spend freely as much as they want, Chelsea and City at that time, and still to an extent. As many Utd fans will point out, you spend what comes in, commercially etc, Liverpool have been doing similar, even with Isak and maybe Guehi, still not close to PSR limits. It wasn’t a criticism about net spend though. He was just a hypocrite, happy to spend the money as soon as it was available to him.
If Liverpool don’t win the league by 20 points we can still think of them as woeful underachievers, if not outright disappointments. It would be funny to see that lot not winning anything this season after spending half a billion dollars!
But.
For sure. It's as you were circa 1992.Grim. Liverpool look likely to break our record.

No worries, I was being a bit of a dick TBH.didn't mean to come across like that, I really like Mbuemo and think he'll do very well for ye, as I do with Cunha, two very good signings, I do feel Isak may be just a level above, but that's just opinion, and as you say, Isak was playing for a better side, and goal scorers always have a premium to be fair.
I do think ye are on the right path bringing in the Mbuemo and Cunha though, bit easier in the short run to coach better defending than coaching goal scoring.

Other clubs can go out and spend money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.
Wild take.Mbeumo imo is only behind Salah and Saka in terms of right sided attackers in the league.
So yes, they are are at the same level. Mbuemo offers more overall in terms of build up and link up play than Isak but due to scarcity of position you paid a massive premium for a very good striker.
Not by the club but every reputable journo has said it’s a done deal and he’s passed his medical.Has this been confirmed, because the thread title says he is?
