Do fully grown adults actually get annoyed by reported fees? It'll be reported as 150k and the fee reported as £80m + 25m in add ons + 20m in bonuses![]()

That’s certainly one way to look at it.Slot is probably the luckiest manager I've seen in a long time.
Came into a team primed for one final title push, watched the others fall way, won the title and now getting an insane injection of top players into the squad to go again.
Will be interesting if he spends all his time moaning about what other teams spend whilst doing this, or if he’s a man of principles. That’s certainly one way to look at it.
You know that someone can be both good and lucky, right? That’s certainly one way to look at it.
I hope he does, it’s a tradition by now. Will be interesting if he spends all his time moaning about what other teams spend whilst doing this, or if he’s a man of principles.
To be fair, if you win the league you deserve backing. Liverpool will be primed if turns out Slot is a bäld fraud, their next manager should inherit a stacked squadSlot is probably the luckiest manager I've seen in a long time.

A team so primed that literally no one expected them to win the title. Come on, I know that he is managing our rival club, but these ''it was just luck''-stuff is getting boring. We were then ''unlucky'' to hire the wrong Dutch baldyThat’s certainly one way to look at it.
Must feel bad for Klopp at this point. Could have won more with this sort of budgetI hope he does, it’s a tradition by now.
It's just part of the discourse of tribalism in football. It is odd that Wirtz wasn't reported as record fee, because the initial fee was less than Enzo, yet our fees literally always include the add ons when reported as what we'll be paying. This is no different really, it's reported as £120m...plus add ons. I personally find it annoying when I have to engage with a casual fan and have to normalize transfer fees because there's no consistency in reporting or shitty understanding of exchange rates by journalists.Do fully grown adults actually get annoyed by reported fees?
They can go as crazy as they want but the player has final say where they want to go right?Newcastle will go crazy on Sesko once Isak is gone so we should use those next days to setzle everything with the player to avoid a hijack
It shouldn’t affect Sesko. If Sesko decides he wants United then Newcastle are out the picture.Newcastle will go crazy on Sesko once Isak is gone so we should use those next days to setzle everything with the player to avoid a hijack
Bit like Arsene really keeping Arsenal where they were so they could build the stadium. He is the reason Slot has seamlessly just slipped in and it didn't matter they didn't buy anyone last summer. They are now back to being one of the European powerhouses, competing on all fronts because of Klopps foundations and are able to spend the way they are because of him. You can only play the cards you're dealt.Must feel bad for Klopp at this point. Could have won more with this sort of budget
I invite you to show me the "just" in the "just luck" part of my post that you so clearly have read.A team so primed that literally no one expected them to win the title. Fairly impressive spending spree, if they sign Isak we're talking upwards of €450mill.
I think it would be even more likely to happen if the bid had been accepted

Yeah, I'm definitely the problem for wanting consistency - embrace the chaos, you child!Grown adults apparently aren't supposed to be able to notice the difference

We're fully grown adults discussing the activity of kicking a ball by a bunch strangers, in the middle of a working day on an internet forum.Do fully grown adults actually get annoyed by reported fees?
Was being facetious about the post you were replying toYeah, I'm definitely the problem for wanting consistency - embrace the chaos, you child!
The Coutinho money is covering it.It will obviously happen but Jesus Christ, that is some spending from Liverpool.![]()

But they can still go and offer him substantially more wages or a signing on fee to make him sign for them. His agent seems greedy anyways. It shouldn’t affect Sesko. If Sesko decides he wants United then Newcastle are out the picture.
Fully disagree, think howe is a great manager.
Obviously he won’t- but even still, half of the disgruntlement about Pogba was his lazy style of play. If Wirtz walks around thinking he’s Michael Jordan then he’ll get criticised spades by LFC fans never mind Rio Ferdinand.’I wonder if Graeme Souness is ready to lay into Wirtz even when he gets four assists on the opening day of the season.
I honestly never came across it until I joined this forum and it really seems to annoy some. I think it’s become an obsession.Do fully grown adults actually get annoyed by reported fees?
Have you been to Newcastle. Why are NUFC having such difficulty attracting talent?
Obviously I have no sympathy re Sesko preferring us but...
Genuinely can't see why they aren't appealing to young players looking to prove themselves in a club going in the right direction.
Is it just incompetence from the higher ups, and bad strategy?

But I am not fully convinced on their market. Wirtz is a great player (but not word class) but he unbalances the midfield. Plus they lack a defensive midfielder. I watched them against Milan and there was too much space between defenses and forwards.
Clubs casually buying multiple +£100M players in the same window. What a time
