Save yourself some pain and move on.
UTD are too broke to afford Isak. Likely destination is probably liverpool. Which would be mental. Wirtz, Ekitike, Isak + other signings all in one window after winning the league.

Hopefully a foreign club, like a PSG shows interest and Isak heads there instead

It's gonna be a long while before UTD win the league again. Financially in the short term we just can't compete with City, Pool, Chelsea and even Arsenal

We are getting outspent 2 to 1 and even 3 to 1 by teams who are far better than us

Have been too broke for years

Already bought the league, be staggered if they don't become first team to win quadruple with that squad
Seems like slot is trusted more thank Klopp after winning the league his first time round.

Let a muppet dream

Unless he's joining United I couldn't give a toss where he goes
You should do. Liverpool are about to over take our titles. There squad is probably better than city’s now. It’s in our best interest if he goes to Saudi.

Really can't see him joining United. Liverpool seems a little far fetched as well, as they just signed Ekitike for huge money, but that seems to be what the bookies think. 1.65 on him being a Liverpool player next year.

I honestly think he might just stay at Newcastle.

remember when Klopp once said Liverpool can’t compete and put up the prices that city and we do for players. Now there buying the league

They bided their time and took their chance when City look weak. It seems like Pep's close to leaving, the whole 115 charges looming over them and a pretty stale showing in the league last season. Even then, they're just playing FIFA / FM. The amount of money they raise on Diaz and Nunez (+ not spending any money last summer) doesn't make their spending particularly insane.

Arsenal are no where close to these two and I don't think Chelsea can get their either.

I don't think it's a question of trust - they realized they had to spend this season to keep up after being stingy for so long. Trent moved on and they're preparing for a post-Salah / VVD world. If they didn't spend this season there was a chance they could've gone into rebuild mode for 3-4 years.

Gakpo is the obvious casualty (or let's say rotation fodder) as a result right? He's already rotation fodder with Diaz.
Playing any of those 2 (isak and Ekitike) on the wing is a complete waste. Lets put it like this; Ekitike on the left is downgrade to Gakpo or Diaz.
Isak for me is THE best striker in the world but on the wing he is downgrade to Diaz.

Of course there is always an option in changing system and playing some asymmetric formation with 2 strikers and without left winger. But why change winning formula?

He obviously wants to double his wages, he is a player that is worth the 240,000 a week. Newcastle not going to let him rot in the reserves so be amazing if some sort of deal could be done with him.

More than likely Newcastle just gonna offer him a new contract at 200k a week or something.

Double whammy is Newcastle will also be looking for a striker soon and with money in the bank.

It's criminal how we we're probably not too far behind Liverpool financially pre Ten Hag - could (should) have even had Isak that summer.
Now we're miles behind after blowing £1bn on dross.

On the plus side it would weaken Newcastle.

Everyone in here knows we are sat in stands watching on wishing we weren't run by leeching scum
Our luck is something. It is bad enough to have one leeching owner. And then you get another owner who thinks that solution is to cut expenses (instead investing).

It’s because of Klopp they can do what they are doing now. They haven't spent as wildly as a lot of other clubs the last few years, he left a club in a fantastic state, with a new training facility, and larger capacity anfield road, so none of the profits they make these days needs to be spent on infrastructure as it was when Klopp was there. It’s a perfect storm for Arne Slot and Liverpool. This is a mad summer, if they add Isak to it, wow!

If there was ever a statement signing from Ineos that they are backing the manager 100%.

I he’s pulling the toys out of the pram now as Arsenal are about to pull the plug on Gyokeres and Liverpool have on Etikke. They were both definetly in for him. Wonder could it hijack the Gyokeres deal. I don’t see Liverpool stumping up the money unless Nunez is part of the transfer deal.
I think Arsenal signed Gyokeres officially. BUT it would be hilarious if they decided to cancel the deal.

If he goes to Liverpool too, it'll be one of the all-time greatest transfer windows for a club. After going level on titles they sense blood and going all out in investment in the squad to get more.

Compare that to the window after United went level with Liverpool

fecking Glazers.

Some here think INEOS will save us. They're just an added layer in front of the Glazers.

That said...how much should Isak go for? Premier League transfer record I think.

Do Newcastle want Garnacho? How about Sancho? Antony maybe? We can offer all if they give us a reasonable price for Isak!

From the reports they evaluating Isak at 150 mil and 130 at the lower end
So likely you would need Garnacho + 60 to 80 mil pounds
I don't know how they raise the funds. Rashford is on loan. Antony deal is stuck, and it might end up being a loan like Rashford.
Financially the money isn't there. Unless INEOS + Glazers want to dip into that 150 mil revolving credit they have left which puts UTD into more debt.

And my guess Newcastle would prefer straight up cash over player swap + cash

If he goes to Liverpool, pool will explode. Too many cooks spoils the broth.
Let Liverpool splash the 150m record, then it will unravel. We have seen this happen severally previously.

Madrid galaticos, Mbappe to Madrid, Neymah to PSG, Hazard to Madrid.

Let them do it, that will be the start of their problems.

How about a swap, we give them Onana, Sancho, Antony, Mount and Zirkzee they give us the lanky fecker. That’s the best deal they can get. Really.

He’s a fantastic player but he’s going to cost 120m plus, and 300k a week in wages. I’m not sure anyone is worth that kind of expenditure. Prime Messi and Ronaldo, sure….easily, but I struggle to think of anyone today worth that. Yamal maybe.

There’s obviously stuff happening behind the scenes we aren’t aware of, because it seems strange to wait until the end of July, after clubs have already made major striker signings, before making this move to leave. Hardly well orchestrated.

I can't see Isak leaving a trophy holding CL team for one that's not even in Europe, even if United could afford him, which they clearly can't. He'll want to improve his chances of medals. PSG/Liverpool are the only two options I could see him going to that have the funds and the need for him. He doesn't strike me as someone that's only about the money so I doubt he'd entertain Saudi until he's older.

Problem being none of those 5 would be a regular starter for them
