Hi all, been a long time member on RC but finally getting a chance to make the journey from the US to Old Trafford. I'm looking at Feb 6 vs. Chelsea and staying to attend Feb 10 midweek vs. Brighton. Tickets are sorted but they are TBC obviously. I assume that means the Chelsea match COULD be on Sat or Sun and various times due to TV. Is that the same for Weds midweek match?
The trick is the flights and if matches shift. I assume Chelsea will be played on that weekend (no FA Cup or Champions League conflicts) and the same for Brighton. Would love everyone's thoughts! I'm surprising my teenage son with the trip for his joint Christmas and Birthday present.

I will provide my experience going to OT (which was awesome) as an American.
Got tickets using my membership (use it to see preseason games etc.)
Ticket's were "Hospitality - Victoria Warehouse Tier 1" and $275 pounds each. Ouch.
I was staying in London, and the game was late afternoon. I took the train from London Euston to Machester Picaddilly (also not cheap)
The train before us apparently did not show, so all those feckers piled into our train. It was fecking packed as shit. sardines have more room in a tin jar. Also we didnt even get to sit in our seats.
Brutal train ride but we made it.
Then you gotta take a trolley to OT, also fecking packed as feck.
Got there and finally we can breath and make our way down the cobblestone road to OT.
OT is awesome but the food and beer selection is not exactly fantastic (especially since i was just in Munich!)
I wanted to go to Lou Macari's for some fish and chips after the game but it was sadly closed. So get there a couple hours early is my advice if you want to grab a pint or get some food before the game.
Went to the OT megastore after, also packed as feck and you have to wait in a line to get in, but the line moves relatively quickly so props to the workers.
My advice would be: 1) stay in manchester the night before to avoid all the train congestion; 2) get the ground a couple hours early to allow more sight seeing.

After two for the derby. Can anyone help?
The Premier League seem intent on this Friday night slot so there is a chance Chelsea game is either Friday night, Saturday or Sunday. (Can't see it being Monday with a midweek round of fixtures but you never know)
The Brighton game could then be played either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday to suit tv.
Much would depend on your travel plans but a Thursday to the following Friday flight would allow you to book it now and then plan logistics around once dates confirmed.
Plenty of places you could visit inbetween via train from Manchester.
Also after 2 for someone for Ipswich. Both members. Can anyone help?
Does anyone ever get much on the away return drops on Tuesdays at 11am?

I’ve never managed to actually get a return ticket because they always get sold so quickly, but I have managed a few times to get into the ticket selection screen.
The button has been “Sold Out” for me all morning as well, but not sure if that means there were none/very few, or if they’ve not been put on sale yet.
Typical total lack of information from the club. I don’t have all day to sit here refreshing.
Have people had their kids membership packs through yet?
I asked in the thread earlier if these were still a thing as nothing on the website makes it clear that you get them these days...
Let us know if you do get one!
I got a message of a mate yesterday telling me that the club have for away with online purchases for away returns and are making phone calls to people instead
Felt a bit weird when he told me but with your two posts, it might be true
EDIT - confirmed. If you click on one of the ‘info’ markers when applying for tickets it confirms that there will be no more online applications and that the AI agent will call in a random order

Interesting they have now removed the official resale ~ 5 days before the match for returned Fulham (Away) game - to be contacted randomly by an AI system instead.
I never managed to beat the bots in at least a dozen attempts for returned tickets, so hopefully this system is a bit fairer

Hull was Tuesday this week - Everton is Tuesday 1st September.
They do it like 5/6 days before the match - but the few tickets made available are always swallowed up instantly.
I think Hull and Everton were still using the old method.
Fulham is this new AI method - who knows what they will do with future aways!
Yeah, I never saw that AI checkbox for Hull and Everton. Fulham is the first time they've used it
Lad got his early last week. He was buzzing because it included a flag which is now on his wall.
I don’t think they made any available online for Hull. Happy be told that someone got one off the website but the earlier replies on this page would indicate that the button never went live and I’ve got a mate who works at United who text me on Tuesday morning to tell me that they were making phone calls about them from now on

I probably prefer this tbh. I remember when they did it years ago, I would get a buzz when I saw the TO ringing as I knew it was to be offered returns...although these days I would probs be scared about getting banned for some unfair reason.
EDIT: Just applied for Fulham and didn't see anything about consenting to this AI agent, as per guidance below on the website, unless it was buried deep in the normal T&Cs which you agree to before applying. Anyone else notice this?

Membership packs aren't a thing anymore. Well, not really. They're now an optional extra at £20 plus P&P.
i am pretty sure we will be away first game.
don't take this as gospel though, i am purely basing this on the fact we cant play at home on the same night , or consecutive nights as City and therefore have to do the opposite of their fixtures.
the current format has been already been going two seasons and city have played MD 1 at home both times (and as they are higher ranked they should be at home first, so we should be away)

Can someone talk me through getting a European away ticket please? Is it something you have to apply for with the club or is there any chance you can just rock up in a city abroad and buy a ticket over there?

i think they need to sort the Champions league / europa fixtures first, which will knock onto prem fixtures and then determine which days city and united will play their league cup fixtures (as both at home). so should be saturday?
you need to apply through the club.
once fixtures are confirmed you can enter the ballot on away tickets page on the website.
the ballot is based on a priority of how many European away credits you have.
Credits are based on a 3 years rolling. so for this season they will look at your credits for 23/24 , 24/25 and this season.

if we have been allocated over 2,500 tickets they will open 5% of the tickets up to people on 0 credits.
to get your credit you will need to collect your ticket (in the away city), which they are reintroducing this season.
looks like even if they issue tickets digitally there will also be a credit collection point as well. not sure how that will work.
If you have never been I reckon SportsBreak is probably your best option this season.
