Opening pair will score quicker than just about any other pair out there. Either one can win a game on their day, if they both come off it's likely game over.

Balance – Faf Du Plessis averages 55.51 at 3 and Taylor 52.14 at 4. Pietersen over a dozen innings at 5 averages 116 and can finish the game off from there after the early order have set the platform whilst Afridi can provide a late flurry to maximise the overs left. Botham is also capable.

Bowling - economy rate from Willis and Roberts opening and closing should strangle the opposition and compared to our opening partnership that could be the game right there. Plenty of threat from Roberts to then be replaced by Starc with his crazy strike rate. Then you have Warne threatening all the time and also Botham who was also pretty miserly and has the golden arm. Gayle provides a few overs of offspin for control and then Afridi to perhaps break a partnership when needed. Two right arm quicks followed by left arm quick, seamer and the best leg spinner of all time covers all conditions plus Afridi to make inroads with a backup spinner where required.

Why I would win?
- Great Opening Batsmen + a solid middle order + Match Winner in Stokes
- Goat ODI bowlers in Akram and Murali
- Malinga and Ambrose are great wicket takers in their own right and both are hard to score quick runs against especially in the death overs

I've gone for The Cat. Both teams seem to be carrying a bit more baggage than I'd expect at the semi final stage but I just about prefer The Cat's top order and bowling unit, though the latter in particular is very very close.

Harshad's batting is disappointing IMO. Great bowling but doesn't cover for it

Gone for The Cat, but this is clearly the Southgate half of the draw. :wenger:
