Alvaro Arbeloa | Fulham Manager

I didn't know Enrique also played for Real Madrid.

Did he leave after a dispute or a nice hand shake so we could see him manage Madrid in say a decades time?

The problem is: who is supposed to buy him? 100m+ and his wages on top… He’s not going to Saudi yet.
Think plenty of teams would be happy to actually, he's still a top 10 player in the world

clubs are paying stupid money for Wirtz mate
You know there’s a group of fans that despite all the goals, see Mbappé as a Trojan horse.
And if the future World Cup star we want to sign ends up unbalancing the team, we’ll be right back in the same situation.
Bellingham , his position and attitude, should also be part of the conversation.
I honestly would sell Mbappé if that was a possibility, but it isn't, and he is an extraordinary player(and our best player individually, clearly)

He left on a free to go to Barcelona and is an arsehole. He hates Madrid and is hated by Madrid. Not happening

On Vini, in the EPL: City may go for him but unlikely. Could Liverpool go for him? Doesn't seem their type.
In Europe: No chance of Bayern and I feel the PSG ship has sailed, unless on a free. Atletico, to replace Griezman? Would Real transact with their local rivals?
Saudi seems the more likely destination if Vini is willing.

On Enrique, why is he an arsehole?

Culé = arse = arsehole

Vini would instantly be the best player on all of Liverpool, City, United and Chelsea. Probably Arsenal as well tbh

He's already proven the ability to lead a team to win the CL

Again, you have to be mad to be willing to spend big on the likes of Wirtz, Reijnders, Gyokeres, Sesko, etc, but turn up your nose at Vini

If they get Enrique over us I’ll be pissed.
Probably about as likely as Figo managing Barca.

Not a chance he's a better player than Bruno Fernandes is currently.

He has proven no such thing.

Not saying teams will turn their nose to Vini, but they wouldn't want to spend the sort of money it would require, i.e., at least £150m transfer fees and £400k/week net salary. The salary will disrupt most team's wage structure, which nobody wants.

Outside chance Chelsea might try, as a marquee signing to revive their declining status & average squad, but salary will be a stumbling block.

So they sacked Alonso for what benefit? Putting their project back by another 6-12 months. Also, no manager who wants to implement a press or system is going to want to join now after how they treated Alonso and sided with the players. It's all a bit of a shambles really.
The president sided with the players over the manager. Alonso was warned by Ancelotti that the players weren't listening to tactical instructions or doing the required work on training ground.

Alonso had the same issues himself in training. Players not listening or leaving as soon as the main training session was done and not staying behind to do the extra work some of the squad did.

They are a self entitled team of egos. The template is there for them in Enrique's fabulous PSG, who as a collective work their socks off.

They really do need to do something about vino/mbappe. One of them has to leave.

 Overrating that lazy winger abit aren't you?

He won't come to the PL, because every game is a battle and he would actually have to do some work off the ball.

Id have Bruno over Vino all day long.

His contract is up in 2027 as it stands. If Madrid decide to sell, Vini would have to take what offers he gets in terms of salary. Madrid themselves won't be in position to hold out for more than clubs are willing to offer either

Of course, there's always the possibility Vini runs his contract down

I think he will extend. You will have to live with him for another 8 or 9 years.

Vini doesn't have to accept whatever salary is offered, have you missed all the transfers that have fallen through? Teams do tend to start salary negotiations early before agreeing a transfer fee for that reason, they also get an idea from the player's agent. Vini will run down his contract rather than accept a lower salary.

Madrid will look at £140m min, even with 1 year left.

He did not lead Real Madrid to a CL title by any conceivable metric. He was neither captain, nor leader on the pitch, nor a particularly prolific goal scorer.
To me it was your defence and Kroos that made the difference.

I agree that Vini would fetch a lot of interest.

How come you'd sell Mbappe over Vini?

I wouldn't rule out some sort of Vini swap with Chelsea for Enzo. The biggest issue would be wages on Vini's side.

Why would Vini go to a club that might not be in the CL?
I don't think it is certain, but he may be left with the option of going to Saudi or going to Chelsea. There aren't many top clubs in Europe that desperately need him and will pay the fee Madrid will look for him. PSG, Bayern and City don't need him imo. I guess Arsenal could do with him but he isn't Lego enough, imo. Utd also have other priorities. Also, a transfer to Chelsea can be sold as helping the Brazilian National Team by him teaming up with Estevao.

I am only giving this sort of transfer a low chance, but if Real do want Enzo, it is likely they and Chelsea will have to come up with some sort of swap of PSR/FFP reasons.

Fair points. I would be surprised if Vini went to Chelsea without CL football. He might run his contract down if Real want him out.

I don't see where Enzo fits Real and I wouldn't buy those rumors. He's best deployed as the furthest in a midfield 3 and Real already have Jude who's similar(also a clearly better player).

Regarding United though: If Vini was available, I would explore it personally. He'd be our best attacker by miles in my opinion and he's still young relatively.

Oh, he absolutely is a top winger, but according to Liverpool fans Wirtz is basically playing for them for free…

But what team would spend 100m+, give him 400k weekly and be an interesting destination for him?

City? United? I don’t see PSG or Bayern being interested.

The wages would be the big sticking point I think.

Vini needs to humble himself a bit.

Not winning the Ballon D'Or has really done a number on his head. His form nose-dove after that imo.

Who would be interested in Vino? What clubs ? Who could afford the package? You can rule out Utd (Woodward era is gone), rule out Chelsea (pay structure), rule out City (guardiola), rule out Arsenal j(doesn't press enough for arteta football).;lThat would leave you Liverpool. Who else in Europe could afford the package? Bayern, who are well stocked in wide areas. He doesnt press enough for Enrique football at PSG. Karsha is a better player in that system. His only choice would be Saudi football.

Personally, I think Madrid would be a better team overall with Haaland up front as a reference point than Mbappe. You just have to see how much Kane brings to Bayern to see how much more Haaland would contribute overall than Mbappe

If Enrique will win the UCL again with PSG there is 0 chance he goes to Madrid or to us cause I'd imagine he'd want to tie Zizou's record of 3.

If he lowered his wage demands, I think he'd fetch interest from some of those clubs you mentioned(besides Bayern and PSG).

None of those teams have an attacker really close to Vini for me. Yes his form has declined a lot, but I think he needs a change of scenery(and to humble himself).

But yes Madrid would be better if they sold him. Vini and Mbappe don't work well in the same team.

He was instrumental in your CL win a couple of years ago. I remember watching your games and you were getting battered by teams, but he was like a one man wrecking machine. He was the reason you got through those games.
A one-man wrecking machine who scored a grand total of 6 goals.

That title was just a team effort. Lots of players chipped in. Brahim scored a winner against Leipzig. The defenders and goalkeeper put RM over the line against City away. Joselu turned the game against Bayern with 2 last-minute goals. Courtois kept RM in against Dortmund and then Carvajal opened the score.

He wasn't the reason. He was important but the reason was their defence, Kroos's playmaking and Valverde's engine .

I am glad no Bayern player fell for his provocations (btw, how is this not a yellow?). He’s doing this shit every game.

Vinicius has good numbers in the CL but I actually struggle to think of an important game that he "won" for RM. The closest is his winning goal against Liverpool, but Courtois was the player who you'd say "won it".

LIke I remember the Bayern game from a few seasons ago where he played well and was really getting at them... But he didn't score! The game ended up having to be saved by Joselu.

Vini was our best player throughout the CL, was the most important player on the team throughout the KO stages from the QF. Our best player against City, Bayern and then scored in the final as well

I don't think we should ever have signed Mbappé. I also think he's a player that chains you to him from a tactical/squad building point, similar to Messi and late-career Cristiano, but I don't think he's quite good enough to deserve having the team built around him anymore

No.

He was not RM's best player against City. You could argue he was the best player against Bayern, but that kind of sums it up: the best player in a tie that was actually settled by a thirty something year old journeyman because Vinicius Jr. couldn't score.

Vini Jr. in the PL would be a great watch, he would probably leave the country crying after a few months.
