Every player in the world is a limited edition.
United buying a player worth £18m considered an established starter for his position would be a big joke.
We wouldn't want any of those players on our team. Rather get Amad who likely is ready for more involvements next year.
Makes us less desperate for someone like Sancho, who might still join us this summer for something like £50-70m when Dortmund realizes they have to get rid and we aren't falling over for him.
I didn't say we should buy a ready made star for £18m?
I said it would have made more sense to buy a more established right winger, which isn't outlandish I'm assuming you'd agree - as we've been playing out of position players there for god knows how long, which makes our attack lopsided.
Is Amad ready for first team football? Clearly not according to Ole, and that's fine but he should shoulder some of the blame for not targeting a more realistic player (Woodward more so).
So your theory is next year we're going to have Sancho, means Amad having to displace an established English International when he currently can't get minutes over Greenwood or James? Players get ready by playing football, if Ole had zero intention in giving him minutes he should have been sent on loan, the kid has played no football for a year during a key phase of development - now that blame falls squarely on Ole.
Let's hope he goes to a decent team on loan next year.
