Amad is just such a naural footballer, everything seems so easy and casual

I’d like to see him play RWB for the rest of the season, give him minutes to build his fitness back up for the Europa League final. We need more creativity down the flanks.

Can't remember where I heard this, think it was from a MU podcast I frequently listen to, but anyways. The reasoning behind ETHs "non inclusion" of Amad was his height and size... which is just stupid, because when you see him play and how he plays, his height and size is not a problem at all.
I initially had the exact same guess as to why EtH preferred Rashford and Garnacho in that they were far more direct players for the ridiculous counter attack style EtH chose but the evidence is there that Amad is excellent in transitions as well as being more technical.

Amad is the better version of what Antony is. 100m for Antony was massive, how do you splash that much on him when we already had Amad, Eth was trying to save himself.

Also, he’s the same size and height as Antony, give or take, and he played all the time under ETH.

Interestingly Zirkzee said the players call him the Ivorian Messi because in training, you just can't take the ball off him.

It does make me wonder about EtH's thinking, but ah well, got him in the side in the end
The most baffling thing was picking Omari Forson ahead of him

Has an elegance and clear quality when he steps into the pitch. We'll need him vs Spurs in the final.

Thought sticking sticking maznouri up front instead of Amad was even more humiliating

One of the most insane decisions I’ve ever seen a manager take. Unforgivable - thank feck they eventually sacked him.

I really hope he gets played there and makes it his own. In his cameo last game, he showed a glimpse of why he would be the right choice for that position. He also did well playing in that position several times earlier this season.

I think this is what will happen eventually as Amorim is looking for a 10 (cunha seems imminent). So that makes bruno-cunha 10s with amad rwb. That would make lots of sense

Yeah I think so too. The RWB gives him much more license to utilise his pace and skills one on one versus fullbacks. It would really push them back as opposed to when facing Mazraoui, Dorgu and Dalot.

What a player, just different gravy, proper baller. You could sense that their defender was shitting himself and did not want to commit against him. Would be very much needed in the 2nd leg and in the final, forget the league, give him minutes to get him fit for 2nd leg and final.

He will need to clock in a few minutes in the league games just to get some match fitness and rhythm back. But just has to keep things simple.

For the final I'd agree (if Amad is fully fit of course) but for the 2nd leg, we don't need him as long as things don't go crazy badly. With a 3-0 lead, there is no single incentive for us not to keep it tight and compact and let Athletic commit while we try to set up counters for Garnacho.

Hope is restored that our attack will score goals. He gives you believe.

Yeah i guess we can give him half an hour against Brentford and then one half against Bilbao or maybe start him.

Yeah we need to stretch them and need pace to counter and hopefully if we get a goal on counter it will kill the tie. The idea should be not to let them score early in the match.

No need to rush him and start him I’d give him half hour or something up until the final and then start him in the final. Can’t risk him getting injured before the final

Somehow this boy needs to be at the centre of our future. Special talent that can combine with other players. I think Cunha will be a great foil or the opposite. That they will combine very well. We then need a forward with good movement to transform the attack.

Amad could turn out to be massive player in final few games this season…or final. Great to have him back…We need to see CL Amad.

I too prefer him out wide for now. I think players need to be more physical through the middle. We see players like Semenyo and Cunha excel in this area of the pitch. Both of them benefitting from beying tall and strong. I also think he gets more space to use his pace and tricky out wide.

30 mins of football over the next 2.5 weeks is not the ideal prep for a final we need him to be at his best for. I'm all for wrapping players in cotton wool to some extent but he's back after 3 months out and needs to get match fitness built up again.

30 minutes, then 60 minutes, rest, then 60 minutes and 90 minutes in the final. Simples

Yeah agree. With only a few games left no point being too conservative. I'd start him tomorrow.

Definitely should not be starting. Should get 30-40 mins off the bench and then if all good start the semi second leg

But there’s a very good chance he gets injured again before the final if he starts the next league games.

Agree with this one. No point starting him in pointless league games where the highest position we could finish is 12th. Would be nice to move up a few places of course for the extra money but winning the Europa final will bring us in a lot more money.

It's more of a priority to get him fully match fit and match sharp than it is to worry about him getting injured again. His workload will be carefully managed and hopefully we shouldn't have to take any sort of risks but that doesn't mean wrapping him up in cotton wool for 2.5 weeks. He should feature in all games from now til the end of the season all being well

You could see the quality lift he gives us even in the short time he was on in Bilbao. Hopefully he can remain healthy now. Would expect too see a somewhat longer cameo from him against Brentford tomorrow, doubt they'll risk throwing him in as a starter.

Brentford 4:3 Man Utd New
Amad goal. I’m leaving here with something

Will be needed for the Europa final I think, especially as an option (provided we still get there)

Yeah, right forward in a 4-3-3 is the best fit for him, just lets him be a goal threat instead of being deep so often.

Great that he scored and hopefully next few games are process of him getting back into first 11 before the potential final.

Hope people realize he is better as a ROM than RWB. He is such a threat and needs to be near to the goal.

Amorim basically threw him out on the right flank today all alone and asked him to create some magic and he still did it anyway because he's that good.
