I don't think it is a good idea to a) hype him up like that and b) be so absolute in terms of positions. I also think you are wrong about the wingback not being a defensive role. The thing with the wingback position is that it is both an attacking position as well as a defensive position. Alex Sandro was good at it for Juve because he contributes on both sides of the pitch. Quenda did well for Amorim there but not just because his attacking output was so good, but because he brought the tenacity and workrate with him to be where he should be against the ball. Thats not me saying that Amad can't do a job there, maybe even a pretty good one. But he is our best dribbler, the player who is the best in tight spaces, he is also calm under pressure and generally pretty smart on the ball. Such a player should be made use of more centrally. If it turns out, it doesn't work, fine, but just sticking him there because he is better than Mazraoui or Dalot would do him a disservice. I guess, he'd look good in central midfield as well. Given the listed qualities he has.
