Much better today. Got into really good positions and was a threat throughout. He'll be annoyed that he didnt score but overall, a much better performance by Amad.
I think all our attacking players just need their first goal of the season, that goes for Cunha Mount Sesko Zirkzee Amad. (Mbeumo obviously got his).
After that we should really start turning all these dangerous attacks into goals more consistently.
There's been a lot of nearly moments from everyone and you just feel it could click at some point.
Awful is a bit over-the-top. I'd say he's been hit and miss.Since his return from injury at the backend of last season he has been awful imo
Last Saturday against Burnley however overall I thought he put in a good performance
Back on track hopefully..
Don't think it's the position/formation. WB is even better for him given how when he gets the ball he's isolated against their winger tracking back.Hopefully, with Cunha and Mount both out he'll get an opportunity to start as one of the #10's. Last season pre-injury he looked decent in the WB role but hasn't been good since that. May be playing as an attacker will help him regain his form. He is a talented dude but may become a victim of this formation.
Is it a case of he thought he made it already and he's lost his edge? He just seems to be off the pace, silly mistakes and rushing things. He looks to have regressed a lot so far this season. Sloppy again today, killed a couple of good counter-attacking opportunities with poor passes in the first half. Also generally looked too weak.
Below the precise standards he's set himself.

feels like he’s chasing Instagram highlights. His arrogance and cockiness are becoming excessive.
I just don't see this. He's a player whose game relies on making things happen...and in a disjointed, poor team...it's not going great. If his teammates could finish he would have 2 assists today. His attitude has been appalling
He should be able to beat a man and be creative. He was dreadful today and only started to create anything when City took their foot off the gas. He's been poor this season so far.People will pile on him no doubt, but I don’t think that’s entirely fair. He is not the type of player that this coach is asking him to be.
There isn't any version of Amad who could play on the left side against City and possibly any PL side.He should be able to beat a man and be creative. He was dreadful today and only started to create anything when City took their foot off the gas. He's been poor this season so far.
They switched several times and he was just as bad on the right. On the left he was playing against a CB and on the right he was playing against a midfielder. This one is all on him. There isn't any version of Amad who could play on the left side against City and possibly any PL side.
It was a very dumb decision to put him there.
I only remember them switching it up after set pieces and not for long. Mbeumo basically got no touches from the left if you look at his heatmap. They switched several times and he was just as bad on the right. Maybe I'm misremembering the amount of times switched. Felt it was more than a couple.I only remember them switching it up after set pieces and not for long. Mbeumo basically got no touches from the left if you look at his heatmap.
Amad's primary position before the late subs was on the left, and he is never going to get into the game or do much playing there.
