Much better today. Got into really good positions and was a threat throughout. He'll be annoyed that he didnt score but overall, a much better performance by Amad.

Horrible miss in the first half, but the move started through a bit of classic Amad pressing that he’s so good at.

Generally much improved today.

I think all our attacking players just need their first goal of the season, that goes for Cunha Mount Sesko Zirkzee Amad. (Mbeumo obviously got his).

After that we should really start turning all these dangerous attacks into goals more consistently. Just a lack of confidence and momentum in the attack despite the good overall play.

There's been a lot of nearly moments from everyone and you just feel it could click at some point.

I think it's just a case of the attack gelling. It's not often you just go buy a brand new attack and say get on with it. The Mbeumo / Amad dynamic on the right is slowly getting better. Initially they were just running into each other a lot.

Same with Mbeumo and Bruno, the hero ball is connecting.

Cunha looks class but needs to be a bit less selfish and try to find Mbeumo more, that dynamic I haven't seen a lot.

Since his return from injury at the backend of last season he has been awful imo

Last Saturday against Burnley however overall I thought he put in a good performance

Back on track hopefully..

Awful is a bit over-the-top. I'd say he's been hit and miss.

Hopefully, with Cunha and Mount both out he'll get an opportunity to start as one of the #10's. Last season pre-injury he looked decent in the WB role but hasn't been good since that. May be playing as an attacker will help him regain his form. He is a talented dude but may become a victim of this formation.

Don't think it's the position/formation. WB is even better for him given how when he gets the ball he's isolated against their winger tracking back.

Need to see more dribbling from him, idk why he does it so seldom now. When he does do it he looks so good. Had Madueke on toast against Arsenal, but then refused to try to dribble any of the Grimsby lot.

Man City 3:0 Man Utd
He looks to have regressed a lot so far this season. Sloppy again today, killed a couple of good counter-attacking opportunities with poor passes in the first half. Also generally looked too weak.

Below the precise standards he's set himself.

Is it a case of he thought he made it already and he's lost his edge? He just seems to be off the pace, silly mistakes and rushing things.

People will pile on him no doubt, but I don’t think that’s entirely fair. He is not the type of player that this coach is asking him to be.

He was rubbish and sloppy for most of the game, got more involved when he was moved to the right wingback position and should have had an assist for an Mbeumo tap in.

A very unnecessary and audacious attempt at goal in the first half, perhaps I’m being a little too harsh, but at times it feels like he’s chasing Instagram highlights. His arrogance and cockiness are becoming excessive, especially considering he’s still far from consistent in games.

Genuinely dreadful today. Got plenty of the ball and managed to nothing with it every single time. Looked weak and completely out of ideas. Worrying.

Or maybe he played above his actual ability last season. Good form, 'purple patch' or whatever you want to call it. Or the high and lows that young players can have.

Maybe he just isnt going to be that world class player that we wanted him to be. Maybe he is just a young-ish player that hasnt played that much senior football yet and still has to learn a lot.

Amad needs to buck up his ideas. He’s been poor in every game he’s played this season.

Seems to be a theme of players who extend their stay at the club and become shit eventually.

Was pretty poor today. Just didn't get going.

I really don't know what Amorim was thinking playing him on the left.

It suits him even less than being a wingback.

His attitude has been appalling
I just don't see this. He's a player whose game relies on making things happen...and in a disjointed, poor team...it's not going great. If his teammates could finish he would have 2 assists today.
Without wanting to slag off Bruno in every post, in Amad I see a fantastic young player who needs more on pitch support rather than his senior teammates phoning in performances, throwing their hands about or disappearing in key moments.

I remember games where we played with 2 left backs to stop the opponents attacking players.
Defenders starting at CMs to nullify the opponents.
This current system there is no surprise.

We knew Doku would start because Pep knows we will start with 3 at the back, push wing backs high and try to hit vertical balls.
So he put Klushanov ( fast player but reckless).
City do not have a KDB anymore so they dont have anybody that can unlock that defense if you pack your defense.
We just let him do whatever he wants.

Being consistently played out of position is destroying Ahmad’s confidence and it’s only too obvious in his performances.
It was on the left today, but it’s just as bad when he’s being used in the WB role.
He tries hard in defensive duties, but is totally physically unsuited to defence.
Use him as a right winger and have a proper RB behind him, which of course means abandoning this system.

He should be able to beat a man and be creative. He was dreadful today and only started to create anything when City took their foot off the gas. He's been poor this season so far.

There isn't any version of Amad who could play on the left side against City and possibly any PL side.

It was a very dumb decision to put him there.

He’s been totally messed around being told suddenly to learn the wingback role. He’ll decide soon that United isn’t the best place for him I reckon.

They switched several times and he was just as bad on the right. On the left he was playing against a CB and on the right he was playing against a midfielder. This one is all on him.

I have a bad feeling that he is another one of our players who already has his peak behind and played a while above his actual level. Really bad today.

I only remember them switching it up after set pieces and not for long. Mbeumo basically got no touches from the left if you look at his heatmap.

Amad's primary position before the late subs was on the left, and he is never going to get into the game or do much playing there.

His form has dropped off a cliff as has his confidence, I'm sad for him. I'm not sure he and Mbuemo can play together, they got in each other's way a few times.

I've said before but he doesn’t impact games around the halfway line. He only comes alive in and around the penalty area where his fast feet and change of direction are a handful for defenders.

Maybe I'm misremembering the amount of times switched. Felt it was more than a couple.

He should be fine playing on the left. He didn't complete a single cross or dribble today. That's not an issue with where he was on the pitch, that's just him being poor. He was shite against Grimsby in his favoured position as well, he just needs to buck the feck up.
