Kind of makes you wonder whether he should be playing as the CAM and Mbuemo as the wingback....
Or even a 433 where we can accommodate both of them in their best postions....Kind of makes you wonder whether he should be playing as the CAM and Mbuemo as the wingback....
If we ever switch to a 433/4231, a future of:Kind of makes you wonder whether he should be playing as the CAM and Mbuemo as the wingback....
Amad is very much a winger. Cunha is the one who is a natural 10 IMO, in the style of Rogers, Gibbs White, Musiala etc. Direct running with the ball through the middle and floating around. Mbeumo I think could play on the left but not sure if he's ever played there. If we ever switch to a 433/4231, a future of:
SeskoLooks like a bright attack. He’s got enough technical ability, work rate and defensive ability to be a strong part of a midfield 3 as the most advanced midfielder. Lots of opportunity for him to drift into the space Mbuemo leaves as the latter comes inside.

What do you think Amad’s missing to play centrally? He seems a lot more secure with the ball/during linkup than Cunha IMO. Also seems to have a higher defensive work rate. He also played a bunch of games there for Sunderland if I recall correctly.Amad is very much a winger. He certainly would be a winger if he could cross the ball. All I’m seeing is a slightly more accomplished greedy Garnacho look-a-like. Would put most of the leagues good crossers ahead of him. Think it's just generally not how I want my #10's to play... All his impact seems to come at getting the ball close to the touchline and running at fullbacks with the ball. He seems a bit lost with his positioning when he's in those areas as a 10 and goes missing in games. Even on the left he seems a bit awkward. What do you think Amad’s missing to play centrally? Like you say, Mbuemo already has the right wing locked down and hasn’t played on the left, so Cunha’s the only realistic option from our current crew. As long as our LB is bombing forward, he’ll have plenty of license to drift inside as more of a LAM. To be clear, I like the idea of Cunha at #10 also, I’m just thinking with the options we currently have. If we bought a LW, then sure. Would lead to one of Amad and Mbuemo missing out though.
Yeah gotta admit that Amad's crossing is a bit pathetic. Definitely needs to work on it. Right now he's a bit one-dimensional in that he charges at his full back, and goes to cut in or shoot. He had the beating of his full back against Sunderland so he played well, but he still didn't even look like attempting to put in crosses or really create on the weekend which is a problem. He certainly would be a winger if he could cross the ball. Fair enough. Hard to tell how it’ll play out while we’re playing a different formation, so I guess we’ll see.Think it's just generally not how I want my #10's to play... In the mean time, we have Bruno as the obvious 10, but when he leaves id imagine Cunha goes there. Mount also part of that group. Question would be who goes left wing, and if either of Mbeumo or Amad can play on that side or if both just fight for the RW role.
He wouldn't have that responsibility. Our initial out of possession shape was a 4-4-2 with Amad and Mount covering the wide midfield roles, Yoro covered rightback and Dorgu covered leftback , it was only after Sunderland subbed off Adringa for a center back switching to a back three and attacking in a 3-2-5 that United reverted to a 5-2-3 out of possession.Yep.
I'd be worried about the space in behind him against Liverpool that Gakpo could exploit.
I love Amad but he's just not a wing back.
I wouldn’t worry too much. There’s zero chance he starts at wing back at Anfield.Yep.

Would be a big mistake if he doesn't.I wouldn’t worry too much. There’s zero chance he starts at wing back at Anfield.
Mistake or not , Amorim won’t start him as a RWB v Liverpool.Would be a big mistake if he doesn't.
History says not. Just have to hope that he now knows what we all know, which is, we are a better side with Amad at wing-back.Mistake or not , Amorim won’t start him as a RWB v Liverpool.
Love to see itGoal and an assist tonight for the Ivory Coast against Kenya.

89th minute and we’re winning 2-0. Definitely a lapse in concentration more than anything elseHe was just lazy or tired I reckon
Looks like a very good showing! Good for him.
Looked more like at traditional RW from the highlights. What position does he play for them? Flashscore has him down as playing CM in a 2.
Think the yellow tipped the balance.Did well down the right giving Gakpo almost as much to do defensively as in attack. Unlucky to be the one taken off but Dalot did fine defending for the rest
