Our best player, should've had another assist. Shouldn't have been booked and taken off. Developing a good understanding with Mbeumo as expected.
 
Bad luck with the yellow card which I suspect drove the substitution. Good game
 
Forgot he was carded for what was an excellent challenge, so that probably influenced the decision to take him off. Was outstanding otherwise.
 
Fantastic, I struggle to think of a big game where he hasn't turned up. In fact, if you go through his best performances...they've all been in tough fixtures. Love him. Still don't think his position long term (against elite opposition) is RM/RWB, but doesn't do any harm for his development to play there for now.
 
Hope he starts as RWB every single game moving forward

Honestly one of the best players in Europe now. The assist was sublime, harder than it looks, needed to be nigh on perfect.
The move and pass that set up Bruno when he hit the post was also sublime. Absolutely no excuse for him to not hit the target there.
Brings a calmness whenever he is on the ball, it is like time slows down. Not too many players are able to pull that off at Anfield..
Just a shame we don`t have another 2-3 players of his quality. Just way too alone.
 
He's one of our best players and one of my favourites to watch. I wish we could clone him. One for the other side of the pitch, plus another 2 for backups.
 
When we find someone who can be a decent threat from the left wing back role and a mobile DM. This system will blossom. Amad is the guy teams were putting multiple bodies on last season because he was such a threat and yet he looked dangerous. Now they have to deal with Mbeumo too, it's just too much.
 
Was MOTM for me despite getting hooked after the yellow. Most of our dangerous play went through him and we lost our edge when he went off. Forming a solid understanding with Mbuemo as well.

Yes, the way Amorim prefers it is for one if the wingbacks to be a more classical inverted winger with a bit more defensive duty.

As long as we have the bodies to defend set pieces based on the opposition, we're going to see Amad as 1st choice there.
 
He's a big game player, two years in a row he's come to Anfield and had major impact
 
He might actually be our best player. Well done lad. Makes watching the games a pleasure. Much needed.
 
Just a brilliant footballer. He’s got everything in his game. Sublime skill and control. Perfectly weighted passes, workrate, dribbling. He’s just a gem. Also a winning mentality
 
Hasn't been great lately but was outstanding today, we missed him when he had to come off
 
Was worried about him up against Gakpo due to the size difference. No worries, we even flipped it around to exploit their weak left flank. He was very good for an hour going both ways.
 
He has to be a starter him and Mbeumo partnership is not an easy one to stop. Kerkez struggled all game until Amad was substituted and Dalot changed sides. Lovely display, shame about that yellow card which in fairness was fairly given. But understand Amorim subbing him and Casemiro so we don't risk any red card.

Watching this clip I realized Bruno's level declined when Amad was subtituted. Hes always in a good position to recieve from our midfielders, pretty aware of his surroundings. Bruno didn't have this option after his sub (Not the only reason of his abysmal from late in the game). Hes so important for Amo-ball to work out
 
But... but...he's not a wing-back. So many dumb takes regarding him. His so called 'poor form' was massively overstated too. Today only confirmed what I've been saying about him all along. Brilliant player and he has to start there every week. Credit to Amorim for having the bravery to play him in that role against a top side. It was something I had been pleading for since Amorim came in, as we are a better side with Amad in it.
 
Shame about the yellow card as it resulted in his sub, wanted to see him play more.

First half he was so dangerous, every time he got the ball something happened, even if it was just a subtle pass through the lines into one of the attacking players in the pocket, we were getting a lot of joy from that.
 
He has moments where his control and awareness in tight spaces look like that of a proper midfielder when he tucks inside to help with the buildup in midfield. One of our more press resistant players and one of our more complete players. Rare bit of "shrewd" recruitment as well.

Indeed, you see his teammates use him as the easy way out, a bit like, passing it to the keeper.
To his annoyance at times, there are players in better positions but they still kick it straight back to him. It is really telling the confidence they have in him.
