Amorim knows how pivotal he and Casemiro are, hence trying to wrap them in cotton wool as much as possible.

Always have faith with this guy. He is a very good player

Back to his old self. Top class.
So secure on the ball and got that grit and press.
Him and Mbeumo are a force.

Definitely a performance nore akin to last seasons form. He should push on now. Top player when he hits this level.

Outstanding. Didn’t think this RWB role would work for him at all but he’s linking great with Mbeumo

His decision making is still far from perfect, but the difference we saw as soon as he came off compared to when he was playing is astounding. He's made that wing back position his own and I also have to credit him for improving when it comes to his defensive responsibilities

I'm sorry but what exactly was wrong with his decision making? He was unselfish as always. Tried to pick Mbuemo and Sesko at the far post. Tried passing to Sesko? after skinning his defender. Linked up well with Mbeumo all game. Should have had a penalty.

Do people expect a player to produce assists and goals from every touch they have in a dangerous position? I mean we realize the opposing team has footballers on the pitch as well?

Another top-tier performance imo. This guy along with some others, Cunha, Mbeumo, are capable of challenging at the top of the table. Utd quality through and through.

Oh I just thought he should have gone for goal that one time he tried to pick Mbuemo

My main criticism on Diallo is how selfish he started playing towards the end of last season.

Wasn't the case these past few games. Love it.

This is why we absolutely have to try for Semenyo, we’ll see if it happens
There probably aren't many players who are established as amongst the best attackers in the league who want to be converted to a wing back.

I'm also not really convinced we'll get to a point where we play two wingers at wing back consistently. It feels like winger one side and a full back who can attack on the other is the preferred formula - it's just that we don't have any full backs who are actually good enough in the final third (Dalot, Dorgu, Maz are just not it).

Loving his combination with Mbuemo on the right. Losing them both to the Afcon is a disaster!
Same, they've developed a good understanding together. It's probably a credit to Mbeumo that he's prepared to rotate with him and drop in at RWB when Amad goes higher too

Nottingham Forest 2:2 Man Utd New
He was having a hard time defensively and was a bit selfish in the first half. That goal was unreal though and imagine if his last effort hadn't been saved off the line...

I feel like he thinks he needs to do it all himself sometimes. Which is weird when you have some real quality game changers around you.

Great goal. Pretty sure the same cnut cleared a late chance of the line at Forest last year too.

This is the problem with being played as a wingback.

Our most talented player on the ball shouldn't be defending that much.

Mixed bag today. Got rinsed a few times by the winger and lost the header for the first goal. But popped up with a Scholes-esque strike and nearly won the game for us too. Still integral to how we want to play but he didn't defend as well as we know he can

Can't fault his attacking endeavour. Every time we progressed into the final third, he was our most dangerous player. Superbly struck goal as well.

Dude ain't a wing back, Forest got a lot of joy forcing him to defend one v one in deep areas.

Sloppy game from him in the main, but a superb goal.

Waste of him having him in that position, can't be the long term option there if Amorin survives.

Poor performance overall but he saved himself with that wondergoal and could have won it for us with that shot at the end. Fine margins in football.

Phenomenal goal and almost scored the winner. He did look a bit tired towards the end.

He was poor but felt like he was specifically targeted out of the game. Even then found a way to score a brilliant goal and then nearly a winner.

He was having a really poor second half before the goal - but the contrast in the left and right side of our attack is stark

Wonderful player to watch.

As some of us have said before he’s not a defender the fact remains he is 5 foot short. Never grew up being a defender and people expect him to be a defender have a look at yourselfs. Today in hindsight should of been on the right with Mbuemo playing up top.

He had three shot on target and created another that should have been goal, In which world was he very poor? Defensively he isnt a right back so why is there expecation of him being prefect?

Attacker unsurprisingly does his best work near the oppositions goal

Agree. We didn't need to sign Mbeumo, that money should have been spent on a wingback or CM.

He's really good, could have done better against Gibbs White for their first though.

Our best attacker today, even if across the board performances were pretty poor. Scored a goal, almost scored another and also put in pretty great ball that didn’t result in anything. Did seem to get targeted in defence, but that’s going to happen in this system, which is where the RCM and RCB need to offer support, I assume.

Imagine if we had some attacking threat from our LWB to support Cunha. Would be game-changing.
