Simultaneously our best and worst performer. So confusing.
The way he can dribble past players so easily is beautiful to watch, but then he just rushes the cross and nothing comes out of it so yeah... End product needs improving, that's for sure.

You know with Amad that he'll do the basics well. His touch and passing completion is always up there as the best. Which is very important in a team of players who are so up and down.

But it ain't happening for him in and around the box.

Is it me, or does he almost never go towards the byline anymore? He used to be such a deadly dribbler, because he could go either way, but now he always seems to cut in for shot.

One of those players that has all the tools, but just needs to make smarter decisions. Hopefully it comes with more experience.

I agree. Love the fellow and still have really high hopes for him, but he needs to improve his decision-making and learn to keep things simpler.

Very neat and tidy player who gets you off his seat but he needs to become more efficient with his end product.

I’m not sure why in the last 3 years our wide players decide to just cut in and shoot or dribble into trouble instead of making a cross into the box or finding an open teammate. It’s not just him but all of our players that play that role.
It's a natural tendency when you have to cut inside to use your favoured foot.

Yeah really a bit frustrating. He has a similar ability to Messi as he can get past players with small movements getting the opponents out of balance but then nothing comes out of it.

When it clicks fully it will be beautiful not everyone can be as consistant as Messi but Amad will have some world class seasons.

Not if he’s stuck at RWB.

I love Amad but he’s never gonna hit his potential playing there.

Hes got a similar G/A to Dalot this season. He’s playing too far from goal.

Actually think he plays better at RWB for us at least, wish Mbuemo would not make some of his runs sometimes to leave Amad more space in 1v1s.

That said, his end product wasn’t always the best tonight and at times he held on to the ball for too long.

It can change the very next game. Improtant thing is he's getting on the ball and can be trusted not to lose ball and make something happen. On the contrary we have Mbeumo poor form, erratic/overeager Cunha and in general wasteful/high risk Bruno. Amad is complementing them well, and goals will come.

Easily our best player last night.

He really wasn't,

Mount, Bruno, Maz, Shaw, Mbeumo all better.

Thought he had a meh game. Didn't do anything disastrously wrong, but didn't stand out at all either. Lost the bulk of his duels due to being predictable cutting in. Just a very ordinary showing

Possibly marginally our best player in the first half, definitely not the second where Mount and Bruno both played really well.

Very fun player who is aesthetically pleasing with the ball.

Decision making and incisive passing need to improve before he can be considered one of our best players. Top prospect though.

He arguably was the best in the first half, although I might give Mazraoui the edge. Second half most of the others you named overtook him I'd say.

Mbeumo was better than nobody yesterday, he's lucky he got a goal in the end because that performance was rancid. The rest of them were good in the second half but hopeless in the first whereas Amad was good for 90 minutes, except the goal we conceded, where he was asleep.

Mount was invisible in the first half. Mbeumo kept losing the ball as often as Cunha and even led to several counter-attacks—one of which resulted in an unnecessary yellow card.
Don't let the goal from Mount or Mbeumo fool you.
Amad, Mount, Mbeumo and Cunha all did not have a good game but saying Amad was the worst of the four is definitely wrong.
Shaw and Maz were totally fine, agree with you here.

Holds on to the ball way too long. Mbeumo can't play with him
Exactly this, he holds on to the ball too long near enough every time, which often leads to the passage of play slowing up and breaking down.

He is much better when he passes and moves quickly or takes his man on and uses the ball swiftly after that.

Greedy and tried to do too much.

Was like a 10 year old trying to do everything, because he brought the ball and nobody else is allowed to have it..

Could be a lot more effective if he kept it simple and played more off other players instead of running into defenders and trying to cut back onto his left for a cross/shot.

Is everyone missing the 3 or 4 chances he created? The goal he should have scored other than the Wolves defender handballing it? The penalty he won? The fact he actually showed some composure on the ball? Did he hold the ball too long at times? Yes. Was it worse than others giving the ball away with every other touch? No.

Seems to lack a bit of confidence in front of goal, which to be fair our entire attacking unit does, but also his tendency to hold the ball a bit too long negates the real strength of Mbuemo, which is his pace and running.

I’m shocked he’s 5’8”, I would have guessed 5’5”. I know that’s still short but he looks fecking tiny.

Very talented player, but he does hold onto the ball too long which slows down attacks and clogs things up. If he can improve that we’ll have a serious player on our hands

That's because he is skinny. Same height as Mbeumo, maybe even slightly taller, but probably 10kgs lighter.

Man Utd 4:4 Bournemouth
How I wish he'd have scored that chance where he went through 2 players Messi style. He was my motm in the first half then kind of faded, but still we will miss him so much.

The numbers don't really show it, but I feel like any time we've played well he's often been heavily in the mix of things. He creates danger any time he's on the ball

He’s very good. We need to play him near the opposition goal as much as possible. It’s quite simple

Great performance today, hard to fault him at all.
There’s also a real fight in him. Lost a foot race, but instead of caving, he continued and won the ball back by fighting and being aggressive.

Him and Cunha are our entertainers! Great when it also comes off.

Thats what I’ve constantly been saying if you check my history.

His passing is a bit off. Was lively though, and scored a header which is untypical of him. His last one was probably against Donnarumma

So much better when he doesn’t have to spend half the game defending.

I actually thought to myself when I saw that, that's all the wingback training!

They're mint and make us enjoyable to watch.
