He's so good. Does things going forward that's unique in our team. One of the first names on the team sheet.

He has benefitted from being the only natural ‘winger’ in the squad and I think that’s a huge part why he has played so much football. We’re probably terrified to rotate him or even sub him because nobody else can offer the same attributes as him. He can run with the ball at pace and take on fullbacks.

He really needs to start putting some more scores on the doors soon though if he wants to enter into different conversations. Because I don’t see him as less talented than Saka and Foden at all, however, players are largely rated according to a calculator these days and he’s not scoring very highly there.

Really enjoy watching him play. So much energy and does well in tight spaces. He was up against some good pace when the new Spurs fullback came on. Brings a real threat to our attacks.

He's such a quality player, so many good touches and runs throughout the game. Now he just needs to add goals to his game and he's gonna be a complete right winger.

I also think Carrick rates him very highly, he always starts and plays from start to finish every game

What a gem we have, really hope he starts to add to his numbers as his brilliant performances can go unnoticed at times.

Technically magnificent. Can pass to him anywhere, any speed and it will most likely stick.

Top player who will only get better

Tbh he should have had a couple of assists today, but yeah his main spot to improve is deciding when to be aggressive and back his own talent.

Everything you want in a player: skill, creativity, tenacity. Superb player

I think his development should be a lesson to all young players, he's always had the talent, he just needed to work his way up to the speed and physicality of the league. SPL and Championship were the perfect environments for that.

He's really starting to kick on now, still only 23 and he's got a way to go yet, but he could be a very good player for the 6-8 years if he maintains this trajectory and goes up a level or two.

He’s top class, so important to the team. Fantastic fight and pressing mentality.

Hopefully he can start getting some goals and assist again.

What was he brought for, around £32M?

That now appears fantastic scouting, I hope over time the likes of Dorgu, Leon, Heaven (Obi) can equally prove great buys.

Such a shame hes not really getting the goals or assists to match his performances. Hes honestly so important to this team right now. Most important attacking player after Bruno.

Senne Lammens said in an interview this week he thinks Amad is the most under-rated player at United.

Relatively subdued performance from him, not quite as effective as usual, yet still dangerous.

I love how unselfish he is, he is improving all the time.

Crucial member of the starting XI.

He’s an excellent footballer but he’d be truly elite if he was more decisive in the final third. Unlike Mbeumo and Bruno who feel reliable in their final third efforts, Amad has a tendency to do well but often not get the business done.

Still a fine footballer - both on and off the ball.

I think the opposite - with Cunha, Mbuemo and Bruno on the pitch you have 3 players in your front line that complete passes in the 70% completion rate. If Amad started doing the same, you wouldn't have a functional attack. He just picks his moments.

Him, Mainoo, Shaw, Martinez are the guys who help keep the ball ticking.

Yeah I really like how he protects possession.

Bruno has averaged 83% this season in the PL.

Amad is pure silk. His close control running at pace is insane. One of my favs for sure.

He was relatively (to himself) quiet on Saturday morning but everything he did was quality and I love his bromance with Bryan.

Fits that RM position like a glove. I can definitely see him excelling in a Fergie team in place of Valencia.

It’s crazy impressive to be probably the player most capable of creating a dangerous attacking moment ‘unassisted’ (I.e. by just plain taking on and beating his man), and also one of our best possession-keepers. Normally players are one or the other.

He is superb technically, excellent dribbler and has an incredible work rate. Rare combination.

Next step is for him to improve his assists and goals for us. They will come.

I agree, it feels like there is a small, final piece missing in his

Brilliant player and fun to watch. First touch is sublime, pace, works hard, tackles, takes players and his final ball seems to have really improved.

If I was being really critical, he needs to add a few more goals. I think he's got it in his locker to bag a really good number. Just needs to become a bit more ruthless.

He is so consistent with his performances, works hard every game, so fun to watch, and I bet once he figures how to finish some of the chances he gets and perfect the timing of his runs in behind (he is actually very good but not elite yet as he could be caught offside sometimes), he will score goals for fun.

He has played most of the season at CM, to be fair. Would be interesting to see the numbers since Ruben got the sack.

90%, 70, 80, 83, 85% pass completion since Amorim got sacked.

Impressive numbers! I had a feeling they would be quite high. Especially impressive when you think about how productive he has been in that period.

To say something about Amad as well: I feel like there is just a question of time before one of his curlers from the right goes in now, and that would be the only thing missing from his game at the moment.

Rooney Regen, can do wonderful things upfront and then run the length of the pitch to catch up end stop an attack of make an interception. Also he's been quite unselfish lately, which is a huge improvement over what he used to be like when he tried to mimicking Garnacho on the opposite side.

@Skills you have a good point (apart from exaggerating) in that Amad on the whole is more protective of the ball on the pitch in general. I don’t think it is in opposition to what @amolbhatia50k wrote, though, as that is particularily about the final third, and particularily about decisions.

Keeping the ball ticking is of high value, and particularily when playing up to the final third. The closer you get to goal, however, the better the trade-off becoms for making bold and precise decisions aimed at penetration.

I think it’s fair to say that Amad has spaceto develop when it comes to his choices (shoot/pass/dribble, power/precision/feint etc) and execution particularily around and in the box. My guess is his brain gets a little bit hotter, and he hasn’t practiced those situation as much as the choices becoming second nature. At any rate, he has the technique and burst to get regularily on the score sheet and the assist board, and a team that often enough try to set him up inngood positions around the box.

I expect it will fall in place with time and hard work.

He's doing well. I do enjoy that he often chooses to keep things simple. Like Mainoo it's quite an underrated quality in young player that sometimes gets overlooked when we're all looking for the spectacular party tricks. It's a sign a player is genuinely developing and maturing and it's something many players we've seen come through over the last few years have been missing.

It's because of those players that I do slightly wince at some maybe premature superlatives because I think the fanbases standard for calling a young homegrown player brilliant or outstanding or any of those type of words, has been quite embarrassingly low at times in recent memory. He could be a very important player for us and there are very encouraging signs.
