He is still the only player who really excels at beating players from wide but sometimes he's really careless with his passing like tonight
 
Playing at RWB has ruined his game. He seems to be playing feeder everytime. Needs to be benched

Yeah not sure what has happened to his finishing but would also say he has been unlucky not to get any assists
 
Everything went wrong for him today, choices, execution, he even looked slow.

Let's not panic, he was playing without a break recently. If he plays like that after the break I'll worry.
 
Way too isolated in the first half as we tried to play our way through our left side until Cunha came off.

Should've gone for it in the end, the pass was absolutely not on and he had a 1v1 with the defender. Frustrating today.
 
Ball didn’t find him in the first half. Second half he was much more involved but like all our forwards tonight, his decision making was off and West Ham stifled him.
 
Do not know why he did not shoot himself at the end , it opened up for him and the pass never really looked on.

Poor game from him , looked disinterested most of the night, but he was far from the only player like that tonight.
 
That final attack was infuriating, couldn't have done any worse in that situation to win it.

Might be best to move Mbeumo to RW and put Sesko up top next game. Amad could use a game from the bench.
 
Earned himself some time on the bench. Still a class player but he'll have better, more incisive seasons than this one.
 
Still in shock that he didn't have a shot at the end. Goal had opened up for him. A toe punt could have been enough. Terrible.

With Amad a bit off form, I just want to see Mbuemo in his natural position and Sesko up top.
 
Really, really poor tonight.

Shame we didn't have Shea Lacey on the bench to replace him late on and give us something different.
 
The poor result isn't on Amad, he wasn't the worst player on the pitch but I was so pissed for that last chance. Why didn't he shift onto his left and shoot? He spams those curlers a million times per game without even having enough space but now that he had it he just decided to try that weird cut back.
 
I miss having complete wingers. I hope we sign a proper left winger with X factor.

This team needs Amads dribbling & Mbuemo crossing + goal threat BUT its still an awkward fit getting them into the side together.
 
His decision making needs to improve. Could have released the balls much quicker at times but he chooses to dribble inwards instead.
 
He is opposite to Mbeumo. Creates a lot, dribbles a lot but he must work on final product in terms of goals and assists.

Nevertheless, he is still one of our better performers

There's an argument that he has been playing wingback in the last 3 games.

This is really his first bad game since AFCON, which is getting blown out of proportion.
 
Should have tried to curl it into the bottom far corner in his final attack. Seems a real lack of confidence at the moment.

So many times he goes for shot in those situations. And then in 97th minute he decides to pass.
 
The quality was clearly missing today and he should have been off at half time.
 
Needs to do far more. Haven’t changed my opinion from the start of the season that he can’t be a starter for a top team.

We’re not a top team and left forward is a big issue now, but I’d put Mbeumo wide right.
 
Really subdued today. On his day he's class, but when he's not at it he's a passenger.
 
That non pass to Dalot at the start of the second half was genuinely embarrassing. In a game with so little space you can't be so hesitant on the ball.
 
Love Amad so much but that was his worst ever game on the ball for us.

I’ll let him off but he was the worst player on the pitch.

Could’ve won it at the end if he shot.

Hes been brilliant the last 4 games under Carrick. An off game, even the best have them.
 
So quick over like 5m and then almost slower over 10m somehow. He’s really an RW only for me, the fluid front line really didn’t work today.
 
Why on earth do people think he needs benching after one bad game? He was fine the previous game.
 
His low level is very low unfortunately. Amazed he wasn't taken off
 
This guy is so overrated. Terrible final ball. Bad decision making and lackluster finishing. He looks flashy but lacks substance. Hes the type of player that hoodwinks fans that have never played the game because he looks busy.

West ham parked the bus. It was up to Amad to beat his man to create space and get in behind. All game he passed sideways and backwards. Cowardly performance.
 
I've thought about his chance at the end so much that it's has basically turned into him missing an open goal from 2 yards out...

You know, like the sort of chance Cole Palmer would bury...

I didn’t watch the game today, so shame to hear it was a poor game. However, you check out his underlying stats. He usually does so much for us in general play, even without the goals (you don’t really need stats to see this, but it might help).
