I can't even see any kind of source for this that I would consider remotely trustworthy. With 1 day to go, it ain’t happening
Just seems like typical deadline day nonsense.

I'd be open to selling Amad. I find him too hot and cold for my liking.
Easily worth £70-80m in this market and that is pocket change for Villa with all the big sales they've made in recent years.
He's our best winger.. why would we sell the only player who can hold width and actually reliably dribble at defenders? We need more wingers like him, not to sell him for a price we wouldn't be able to get an equivalent player in for.I'd be open to selling Amad. I find him too hot and cold for my liking.

Sometimes you have to sell good players to raise funds for the team, if you could get big money for him and reinvest to more essential areas it should be considered. He's our best winger.. why would we sell the only player who can hold width and actually reliably dribble at defenders? As I said, if we were trying to buy someone who can do what Amad does, he would go for over 100m. The players I absolutely wouldn't sell in our squad are Sesko, amad, mainoo, lammens and that's basically it. Everyone else should be sellable at a price. But amad for me is one of the untouchables as he's the right profile and talent level for a top club. An actual winger too which we need. End product will come.Sometimes you have to sell good players to raise funds for the team, if you could get big money for him and reinvest to more essential areas it should be considered.
It’s why we can’t sell, the players we want to move on are on too much money for what they are. We then hold on to players that you could get a pretty penny for and end up losing them on a free or cheap as their contract winds down.
It’s okay to sell good players for a big fee if it’s reinvested wisely. Everyone should have a price imo. Every single player.
What if you could get 80mil for him, would you consider it? Are his numbers and output enough to not consider it? Genuine question.
Hes 24, been here for 5 years with 2 loan spells, the end product needs to come this season. We need to see this talent now become the real deal imo. If that is added to his game then I’d be inclined to agree with you.As I said, if we were trying to buy someone who can do what Amad does, he would go for over 100m. He has to prove his place in the team. As of now, he is a more important player than any of our other attackers after Bruno IMO, based on how he plays on and off the ball. He's just a more talented attacked than the rest of them. I'd prefer to keep targetting the weakest players to improve on. If Amad eventually gets replaced by a better player, sure, but we spent a ton on our attack for none of them to be better than himHes 24, been here for 5 years with 2 loan spells, the end product needs to come this season. Selling Amad would be so idiotic

Mbeumo has the goals but interms of overall play we are a man down. He’s so much better than Mbeumo - can’t wait for him to return
Absolutely blown away by these calls to sell him. Like we have a ton of top quality options up front. Feels similar to all the people saying Kobbie is safely last choice in cm. SurrealSelling Amad would be so idiotic
He is not until he improves his end product (which he should definitely improve)He’s so much better than Mbeumo - can’t wait for him to return
He probably would have gotten a goal and maybe an assist in yesterday’s game. Was a lot of space for the wide menWhen is he back? I love him as a player, he provides a completely different dimension to our game with his pace, dribbling and one touch play. It would be a grave mistake to even think of selling him. He is another star in the making, just needs to improve end product.
As a player maybe. Doesn’t have Mbeumo end product yet. Mbeumo can have bad games and still scoreHe’s so much better than Mbeumo - can’t wait for him to return
£85 million for a wide player who scored 2 league goals last season and I think 4 assists?
I wouldn't be jumping at that.
I'm looking at Lacey and thinking he wouldn't be as good off the ball and maybe not as secure in possession but if we played him all season I reckon his output would be better than that.
The report I saw was 6 weeks so our 6 weeks is usually 3-4 monthsAny news on his returning date?
Then again you don't rate Bruno and think that he is holding us back, so it's up for debate whether you watch football at all. That's because you watch football on a spreadsheet.
Has he ever had a full season? His availability is really holding him back. The report I saw was 6 weeks so our 6 weeks is usually 3-4 months
I think he’s in our best eleven currently so him being out is definitely a loss. He has the unique combination of being tenacious off the ball while actually being good on it, which makes him a very difficult player to play against.
Needs to be more productive and really impose himself on games. We shouldn't be selling him but he also still has a huge amount to prove. Those banging on about him like he's a sure thing are GROSSLY overrating him, based on what we've seen to date.
This is his biggest issue, he really needs to get fit again and stay fit for the majority of the season.Has he ever had a full season? His availability is really holding him back.
What has Lacey done at the senior to show he should start over Amad?Sorry, I just don't see this. Of course, technically he is a good player. However, from a dynamic, dangerous, genuine attacking threat a couple of seasons ago, Amad now plays a v predictable game. Receives the ball, cuts inside, passes. He almost never runs behind, turn or stretch defences, and the better teams just nullify his game. Sometimes he may get a shot off, and maybe, maybe one of those shots are on target. Rarely does he score. When he does score, it looks great. But it is rare. Marcus Rashford is the same.
I would play Mbeumo or even Lacey ahead of Amad, all day long at the moment.
I sense (may be wrong) but sense that Amad has begun to believe all the hype. He really dropped off following AFCON.
We need him back as soon as possible. Mbeumo is a good goal getter but he can't really unsettle a low block the way Amad can.
Likely after the break (so October)An news on when he will be back?
