??? Hargreaves won 6 league titles and 2 Champions Leagues in Germany and England. In his one fit season for us, we won the league and Champions League double and he was good that year - that free kick against Arsenal was stunning.

To be fair, as @limerickcitykid said, Rashford did score that penalty against PSG. He would've had a tonne of pressure on him and he was ice cool. I myself couldn't look at the TV and he didn't break a sweat!

He's the most unprofessional player we've had who couldn't even do his job because he's a fat feck who couldn't put together even a basic fitness level. If he loved the club so much he'd have actually put some effort in.

What a massive disappointment his career was. Even now you have to think he's young enough at 31 to grow up, get into shape and play at a decent level but the desire clearly isn't there and hasn't been for a decade. Young players get a load of stick for being flashy and immature, but maybe some of them deserve a bit more credit for maintaining their work ethic when the money's rolling in and not becoming Anderson.

He basically retired after the champions league. Kind of reminds me of Lee Sharpe. Except likable.

It's not only Anderson but even Nani regressed after the departure of Carlos Quiroz. It's not coincidence that they regressed after the coming of Phelan. I have stated that even at that time this is happening. Different players react to different situations differently.
I think it was career mismanagement on his part to accept our offer. He knew he wouldn't be the main man with Ronaldo, Rooney, Scholes and Giggs here. He knew it would be hard for him to start as a winger or as a number 10.

The window where we signed Nani and Anderson was the most hyped I've ever been by any of our transfers, mostly because I'd never seen them play but had heard they were brilliant. Even with one of them having been disappointment and the other a total failure, it's still a nice memory.
