He did celebrated in front of them after the first goal, no one would blame him after the fifth goal. You can stretch this as far as you want but a keeper should be capable of playing most games without fecking up and saving couple of shots without giving the defence a heart attack. Onana is a bad keeper and will never be good enough for a club with any ambitions.
Rinse and repeat.

Are you watching, Saudis? Thats 40 million dollar performance right there.

Man Utd 0:1 Wolves New
Got to Old Trafford really early today so got to watch the entire warm up...

His kicking is absolutely shocking. He was doing the training drill where he had to kick it to the bloke on the half way line and literally none of the passes were anywhere near accurate.

Usually he's really good at that drill. I didn't watch him today I was wondering what the feck the others were trying to do with their weird attack v defence drill. If they can't do that by now they're not going to learn it 15 minutes before kick off are they?

Hasn't done much wrong recently, hope he can have a quiet end to the season and be moved on this summer.

Did you see the pass he gave in the lead up to the goal or his positioning for the resulting shot?

While I would accept they aren't exactly blunders, he played a big part in the conceeding of that goal today.

I think not at all, that's all on Shaw and Dorgu.

Shot was hit very powerfully and low, Onana does a lot of crap but there's no reason to give him the blame for everything and every conceded goal.

Couldn't do anything about the goal with it getting a nick off Casemiro.

His passing is proper dogshit though... Like genuinely terrible.

Slow and lethargic, imo.

Always takes a bit too long to decide what to do, if he’s coming out or not, and then he seems surprisingly slow to get there. Their freekick that went off the post, doubt he would’ve saved it if it was slightly more to the left.

That’s on Shaw and Dorgu he wasn’t at fault . Shaw took an eternity to pass the ball and Dorgu was weak .

Why take the kick to play a player standing 5 yards to your side ?? Either let Shaw take it or kick it long.

It is just passing the buck as he knows his long passing has been terrible, and even his medium passing has been poor. A keeper who can't save, be dominant in set plays and is poor even in ball playing, his so called best area. Can't wait to see the back of this clown.

It’s on all of them.

Onana is ahead of Shaw and wants to play it forward but sees that the closest alternatives are blocked off, he passes it slowly backwards to Shaw and Onana then starts running back to goal in case Shaw has to pass it back to him, but there’s a Bournemouth player close to him that will instantly put pressure on him which pretty much takes him out as a passing option.

Shit decision making.

It’s perfectly fine that Amorim wants them to play out from the back, but this also involves using their brain to analyze the situation and don’t stick teammates in situations they are bound to lose the ball in.

Onana shouldn’t pass the ball backwards and invite pressure, just boot it the feck up the pitch if there’s no better options. Shaw shouldn’t just push the responsibility over on Dorgu, just boot it up the pitch. Dorgu is weak as feck and should make the foul when he sees he’s about to lose it.

What make matters worse is that he passes is backwards.

Can't blame him for the goal at all - he still has that weird jump up trying to save a low shot, but can't blame him at all.

His passing is terrible though. Firstly, he simply takes too long on the ball. Sure, he has great composure on the ball, but heck. Some say that is to force their attackers to press and abandon their positions, freeing up space, which is great if he finds that space. However, secondly, he then proceeds to pass the ball, very slowly, often behind the wingback or the wide centre backs. Thus, not only have the opposition attackers closed down space, our players are put in a position where they are so low down the pitch that their entire team can press high.

Pressing Ederson means that he either pings it around you or over you to the fullback, or if three players press high, he pings it long to wide attackers. Onana is awful at finding his wingback for instance. Even DDG was pretty decent at those 40 yard passes - Onana is woeful at them.

Bottom line is the foundation of a team is bullt on a solid keeper, ours is the opposite.

If this team is to progress to challenge for major titles again it's not with him

I don’t rate Onana but how do we know this is isn’t player instruction? This is how Amorim builds up

Totally agree. I’ve said before, I honestly don’t think he’s aware of when not to play a ball that is risky. He just does it regardless. I have zero confidence in his ability to do anything that a gk should do.

The shot was unsaveable, but Onana's passing, especially his long passing, is atrocious. Or perhaps I should say his decision-making on the passes he makes is atrocious. Where he does excel with his feet is first touch. This and only this is where he excels over De Gea. You can deliver a difficult ball to Onana and his first touch is brilliant, but it's after that where things fall apart and puts his teammates under intense pressure.

The pass resulted in the goal...but I'm fairly certain it's on Amorim making players do things they aren't capable of.

The pass he made was never on. Bournmouths goal is down to him 100%.
We can't afford to have this guy between the sticks much longer.

Are you guys being daft on purpose? Shaw had plenty of time when he received the ball to assess the situation. Whoever kicked off is as much to blame for that as Onana.

I’m far from a goalkeeping expert but His effort to save the free kick that hit the post looked horrendous. He had a clear view all the way and only seemed to react when it was too late.

He was beaten, would have been a goal if it was on target.

Yeah agree on that. His touch is probably as good as it gets for keeper. Sorts his feet out very well which De Gea struggled with.

I do think his passing is "safer" than De Gea's as well. I don’t worry as much that he'll make some kind of ridiculously bad pass as I did with DDG.

But how long it takes for him to make a decision. This is where our issues start and I'm really hoping that's on Onana and not an Amorim tactic.

Oh yes, its the managers fault asking football players to pass a football successfully.

Surprisingly had very little to do tonight. Don’t think many of us imagined that.

He's definitely at his best when he's not involved whatsoever. More of that would be good.

Thoughts on Ramsdale as a potential signing in the summer? It’s reported he has a £25m relegation release clause with Southampton.

I’ve never been 100% convinced by him, so would be hugely on the fence. But a few reports (although not from reputable sources) are linking us with him.

No, he’s fecking awful. We can’t keep haemorrhaging money on players that aren’t good enough to get us where we want to be.

How dose Ramsdale keep getting suggested as a signing for us? Terrible goalkeeper.

Ramsdale would probably be a downgrade on what we've already got

Would rather take Henderson back.

You have to say that the following fact sums up how bad we've been at signing new players for the past 12 years or so...

...how is it that we take Inter Milan's first choice goalie (Onana) & then Inter replace Onana with a far better goalie than Onana in Yann Sommer?
