I'm starting to get more comfortable and calm whenever I see him around the middle of the pitch these days. Long may it continue.

We're starting to see his true quality on the ball now, I think only Ederson and Ter Stegen have better distribution.

Man Utd 3:0 Leicester New
Decent again today, closed down the attacker very well and gave him no space on that first half one on one.

No problems with this guy. Not seeing this bumped with a thousand messages is what the doctor ordered. Been fantastic all season.

He has that Van der Sar aura, and just give you that calm and assurance vibe. What an incredible transformation.

Another clean sheet. One of our best performers this season.

His first season was awful, but realistically it takes keepers a good year to settle into a team and he has looked just that this season. Settled.

Yep, awfully quiet now he has found his feet. Good goalkeeper

Looks solid and very comfortable with the ball. However, hos long range passing is erratic at best. Short passing is sublime, but his long range attempts need improvement.

He was fantastic at Inter with his long passing range. He was great in the CL final a few years back. We'll see it from him eventually.

Remember at least a few world class passes last season where he created a chance himself by superb defence splitting pass. Dont think its also fair to expect still, from a GK to ping passes like some of the best ball playing CBs or midfielders. It's a bonus to have a good long pass, and its very hard to find one from so far out, with not the best angle.

Don’t think it helps that we have no attackers that can hold up a ball.

Plus Inter had attackers that can hold it up and control. We don’t.

Not to mention that in the last match before this one he pinged two gorgeous diagonals, right at the wingers feet. One of each foot.

The biggest compliment I can give him compared with this time last year is that now he looks like a normal Premier League goalkeeper

Doing really well but it must help that we aren’t facing 20 odd shots a game anymore against the likes of Brentford, Luton and Bournemouth. Less shots, less room for errors.

another player who i believe will go down as a very good ten hag signing. his transfer business has been massively overstated as a failure. he didnt get the maximum from them obviously, but remove all those loan deals and free transfers and he did the best business post ferguson

Ha, it's so true. He didn't look like he had played in goal before, never mind at the elite level.

Although he is vastly improved we will see strange goalkeeping mistakes from him in the future though, I have no doubt about that.

Been our most consistent performer along with Mazraoui this season

I think his issue there is he holds onto the ball too long, by the time he plays the long pass, the other team have their shape. He has it in his locker to play great long passes, we've seen a couple for Dalot that have been perfect.

Imo Onana has been brilliant now for the most part of 2024 and deserves recognition in here and in the media. He’s been up there with the best goalkeepers in the league, he’s made some extraordinary saves, he’s extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet and has hardly put a foot wrong. The mistakes he made at the start of his United career have disappeared. He’s been our best player so far this season without a doubt and he looks like a genuine world class goalie imo.

I have been impressed with his turnaround over the last 2 months but let's not rewrite history by saying he's been brilliant for most of 2024. He almost cost us the FA Cup (twice) with that ridiculous attempt of a save vs Coventry, and a weak wrist vs City when parrying Doku's shot into the net. I could pick one of several PL games between January-May where he was at fault for a goal. I was beginning to lose all hope in him after his bizarre positioning for Salah's goal this season, but credit where credits is due - he's barely put a foot wrong since that game.

Quite hilarious to read the ; "no more players with Ajax history stuff" on here.

Meanwhile Onana, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Eriksen, Martinez have been easily in our top 10 for us so far this season.

Garnacho, Evans, Bruno, Amad, Casemiro filling the other 5 spaces.

I saw the replay on the big screen at Wembley but (surprisingly) I never bothered watching the highlights of the Coventry goals after leaving the stadium. Do you think I'm being unfair?
For the Coventry goals yeah, don't think any of the goals were from him making any errors. Penalty, deflected shot and a good finish.

I take it back. My memory was that he crouched still for the deflected goal when he could have moved and caught it. But now I've watched the highlights, I can see that I was wrong. The shot took a wicked deflection.
