Kelleher wanted to leave. Neither him nor jaros are good enough to take over from Alisson as longterm first choice, hence we bought his intended successor. Kelleher is nonetheless probably our best keeper since Grobbelaar not named Alisson or Reina.
Surely you have better things to do than argue that your unproven youth keeper is better than Onana. I mean we all know Onana ain’t it but that seems a bit of an excessive and pointless claim. I imagine Vitek is better than both of them but it’s silly to argue that until he’s proved it at the proper level.
The main point really is that improving on Onana is easily achieved and honestly baffling that it doesn't seem to be on the agenda.

Agreed, but I do think it's on the agenda - probably just not as high as rebuilding the attack and signing a midfielder. I still think, at worst, we bring in a better 2nd choice GK who can compete/displace him and probably target siging a new GK next season, finances dependent.
Kelleher is miles better than Onana. Nothing excessive by his claim. Liverpool have sold a better GK and still have 2 better GKs than our first choice in the moment. If that doesn't show the mess we are in the minute, nothing will.
The claim was that they had 3 keepers better than Onana - after Kelleher was sold.
Kelleher, like Henderson, is a perfectly good, mid table keeper. Not good enough for the very top, but good enough for the top division.
He’ll certainly start the season as number 1, not sure he’ll finish that way if we get a competent number 2.
Hard to decide which is the more important one to get rid of.

All summer I’ve been watching him play outfield in matches with his friends back home on some of the shodiest surfaces. I wouldn’t be surprised if that contributed

I remember Bosnich had dodgy hamstrings that caused him a lot of problems for a while when he tried to kick long. Had to often get our centre backs to take goal kicks as he was scared to do it in case his hamstring went.
