Glad that we've been able to find a taker and at least have his wages covered.
With us reducing the highest wages we offer nowadays, then moving forward the next step has to be to start getting actual loan fees for the internationals we loan out like other clubs do.
But in this scenario just getting his wages covered, and not having him around for the media to constantly discuss, is enough.

Great deal and thank God there's Turkish League and their transfer window.
But it's same as with Rashford - contract until 2028 so still lot of work to be done to actually sell them somehow next summer. Same could be problem with Mount if he gets regularly injured again. Possibly same could happen with Martinez.
Good luck to Onana and hopefully he can do good enough to earn himself a permanent move.

Might be our best bit of business this summer. Here’s hoping Lammens can bring some reassurance to our defence, especially on set pieces.
Binning him off was 100% the right thing to do.
Will always be perplexed why this wasn’t done the day after the season ended.
Irrespective of whether Lammens is a success or not is irrelevant. We all hope he will be, but is a complete unknown at the moment.

I'm not worried about whether or not Lammens will be an improvement at this point. I think a road cone would do a better job than Butterfingers.
This happened quite fast tbf. Good for him, and also good for the new keeper we signed.

Jesus that a painful watch. Weak hands, weak wrists. Too late to react, too late to jump down to make a save. Passing out from the back that would make De Gea look good with his passing.
Probably pound for pound the worst United keeper since...I can't think of anyone else this bad.
I've seen even very good keepers let the odd ball slip through their hands. But I've not seen many just fall over as the opposition striker gently runs towards him. Yes, that forest goal still annoys me.

Can’t tell you how relieved I am that he is gone!
It’s no coincidence that with him in goal we have had the following highlights as a club in his 2 seasons:
23/24
1. Didn’t get out of UCL group stage (mistake in almost every game)
2. lost in R4 of EFL Cup (don’t remember him costing us there but I could be wrong)
3. Won FA Cup
4. 8th in PL.
24/25
1. 15th in PL!! (Especially responsible for losing us so many games with allowing GK errors to decide matches where United played well). Made me miss the days where DDG alone got us top 4 (Jose seasons)
2. Cost us Europa League Final with a soft bouncing ball going into the net. (100m game!). Although the team wasn’t much better overall.
3. FA cup- 5th round. Didn’t get close to a penalty in the shootout.
4. EFL Cup - 5th round. Not on him, I think Bayandir made the mistakes there. ( He did a good job though of repeating the same mistake against wolves).
As a bonus, he cost us 2 goals against Grimsby as well.
I might as well have PTSD with our GK situation now after the decline of DDG and the absolute horrendous nature of Onana’s performances.
It has a lot to say about your GK if he can’t manage to pull off the important saves in the tight games. All keepers make mistakes, but the timing of those makes all the difference and Onana always made mistakes when it mattered.
In his 2 seasons with us, I can’t think of a big save he made except the penalty save in his first season (it was against Arsenal if I’m not wrong).
