I do wonder with a player like Onana, what the players think of him? He’s so obviously crap, has the wrong technique and lets everyone down. It must be demoralising for players to have him in the team.

Don’t forget his repugnant attitude too. Nevermind unwarranted ego (which he has in spades) things like piling on Harry M in your first game for the club when everyone else was doing it at the time isn’t a good look either
A leopard can’t change its spots. Onana will still have his weaknesses, but anyone know whether he’s doing well? Enough for us to sell him, recouping some money and/or saving his wage?
The reality is he’s probably a £3-5 keeper who’s level is mid table Netherlands, Portugal, Turkey. Similar players are probably on 10-20% of the wages Onana is paid.
So on his wages, no one is going to ever pay a fee for him.
People have mentioned Saudi - 5 years ago maybe an option, not now, they wouldn’t want him. Why would they? They have long since stopped buying problem players from European clubs.
He’s got two years left on his contract from the summer (June 28).
We should throw his agent some cash and hope he can find his client a club.
I think we are genuinely in the situation where we will take absolutely any offer.
I can see him leaving on another end of window loan this summer as some club in Europe panics when their first choice keeper gets injured for 6 months. Think it’s entirely plausible we end up mutually terminating his contract after that.
Said it before and I’ll say it, our worst ever signing. Sancho has talent but is a gutless waster. Sanchez was in decline. Antony was overpriced and unsuited the Premier Lesgue. Onana is just monumentally shit. He was shit on his debut and have never seen a player so singleminded in their determination to knock their own club out of the CL group stages. Undermined the defence, gave the entire team the yips and would turn games by committing errors beyond the inexplicable (see the Gibbs-White goal).
Amorim may have been the worse manager we've had but ETH really did the most damage with his transfer activities.

Just seen “highlights” of him vs Besiktas, he was utterly diabolical. Looked like something you’d see in Sunday league when the manager has to go in goal because the real keeper was too pissed to turn up
There’s just a chance we might have an out on this one. Sommer has been getting criticised a bit at Inter this season, is 37 and is out of contract in the summer. Inter may well be looking for a new keeper, so send him back for his book value of about £18m?

Looking at the first goal he conceded I don't understand why he has this weird "swinging" moment when he tries to dive low. Aren't you suppose to get down as quickly as you can? Why does he sort of spring up when he's going down?
He's always played like the shittest outfield player forced to go in goal, rather than an actual goalkeeper.
There are so many fundamental aspects of being a goalkeeper that he's simply terrible at.
He's the worst professional goalkeeper I've ever seen. Him starting every week for our club was breaking me.
I read a comment somewhere that he would 100% have conceded from that Saka shot on Sunday (the one that was near post) - and really, it's hard to disagree.
