Always maintained the guy is a nothing footballer. The fact that he stinked out our midfield in the first half of last season should be his end here. Valencia reject and now Lazio reject.
Unfortunately he's the type that believes his own hype and think he's better than he is.

Good technique but little else, moving to Lazio who have a pretty decent midfield already was a stupid move.

That's not good. If he can't cut it at a mid table club in Italy, than he surly can't cut it at United....time to move him on to any interested buyers.
Of course he can't cut it at United.

Going to be fined by Lazio

Lazio comes from an important victory against Fiorentina but must handle the Andreas Pereira case. La Gazzetta dello Sport explains everything: “The Brazilian player, who arrived on loan from Manchester United last summer, has had little space so far.

There were 15 appearances for him, but for a total of just 342 minutes played, between the championship and the Champions League. Only 2 races played as a starter (both in the league). A situation that obviously does not satisfy Pereira at all. The discontent exploded yesterday at the end of the match with Fiorentina.

Pereira was thinking of leaving as a starter (he would have been if Immobile hadn't managed to recover), then he hoped to be used while the game was in progress.

Inzaghi made him warm up, but he made other choices. So, after the last change (Muriqi joined for Immobile), Pereira left the bench and controversially returned to the locker room. The company is considering fining him. In any case, today in Formello there should be a clarification with the technician. In the background, however, the situation remains delicate.

The player is asking for more involvement. He arrived on loan (with the right of redemption, not compulsory, at 27 million) to have that space that he was struggling to find with United. So far he has not had it despite some signals sent (such as the goal against Torino).

Hence his creeping nervousness. Inzaghi hopes that he will turn into energy to be put on the field to have a better performance ”.

Do they really talk like this in Italy? It seems easier to say Pereira / Andreas (assuming >1 Pereiras in squad).

He switched between Andreas and Pereira here as well didnt he?

Another great loan move from the looks of it.

Well it looks like Lazio won’t be taking up that permanent deal

never had any intention. Just wanted a cheap body in the door for the season as a squad player and offered a ludicrous option to buy fee to get him loaned there

we’d have been better off sending him to a tinpot club where he starts every week and could perhaps get himself in the shop window.

i wonder why we didnt sell him way back when. He had a good season at valencia but surely we had watched his performances and knew he was cack and just not utd level.

liverpool have been good at selling players at the right time - Ibe, Solanke and Brewster all showed promise and they cashed in. Later proved to not be up to much.

he will turn into a rojo type who we just cant shift. The option to buy figure was laughable for him. He wont be worth a bag of peanuts next summer

Came off the bench today to provide a good assist.

I’m hopeful we can het £10m each for him, Dalot and Lingard in the summer due to their loan spells.

That would be brilliant, extra £30m for the kitty whilst not losing out on anything significant.

Popped into my head, for some reason. Is he doing well there? Will Lazio buy him?

13 appearances in Serie A, 19 overall. Doesn't look too great.

Surprised he's made that many.

I would be amazed if Lazio make this move permanent. Amazed.
Logically, he'll likely move for 4/6 million to some midtable club in Europe.

Highest rated player from Lazio side even after coming from bench.

Lazio fans are furious with their manager for not giving him more minutes

He'd be magnificent in the Eredivisie, central midfielder that can dribble, has pace, two footed and a great shot on him, slower paced league. Between 5-10 million and Ajax/PSV should snap him up if Gravenberch were to leave, PSV could use him regardless.

It's a fashionable way of writing for (sports) journos on the mainland to give some background info on the player. It's annoying.

he will feel hard done by, the fans like him over there as well. They would sign him for 4 or 5 million if they could.
