Seems like a good fit for her classless husband.

Thank you, Di Marias. You’ve helped our club appreciate the likes or Ighalo and Maguire, etc. Take your spoiled, conditional efforts elsewhere.

Personally I wouldn't ever have come to the conclusion that everyone is skinny. I think it is reasonable have the opinion that English food is bland because it often has little spices and herbs, but to call it disgusting is far fetched to be honest. The women in the UK do use excessive amounts of makeup for my taste, but I'm not sure what that is like for women abroad.
Reckon she’s talking about junkies.

-What did you not like about Manchester?

"Basically everything. I disliked everything about it. Everyone is skinny. You walk around and you don't know if they will kill you or not. The food is disgusting. The girls all use a lot of make up, like they are dolls"

:lol: This is brilliant. Have you seen where they come from?

At this point it’s just a bitter response from them for the way they are viewed by United fans.

I never bought the whole attempted house burglary issue causing them to move on, the more they talk now the more clearer it becomes that they used the attempted burglary as the perfect excuse.

Basically, she spent some time with the other WAGs and couldn't fit in.

The WAGs preferred to eat healthier options rather than unhealthy options. So the food was 'shit'. They prioritised staying fit rather than sitting on their arses all day because they were rich. So they were 'skinny'. They took pride in their appearance. So they used 'a lot of makeup' and looked like 'dolls'.

She couldn't handle being around other WAGs from United and City, that's what this is. And let's be honest here: the majority of those WAGs are foreign, so it's not just a British thing or even a Manchester thing. The fact she told her husband to go anywhere but England shows that she was biased from the outset. There was no way she was going to the city a fair chance. It could have been like Wakanda and she'd still have moaned because she'd already made up her mind.

The bits about people wanting to murder her doesn't deserve any response.

Of course he did. He had personal problems in terms of feeling secure in the country and LVG played him massively out of position, moving him around the pitch and implementing a system that's of no use to a player like Di Maria whatsoever.

Where are you getting this from? Just watching some poor performances from us? Lazy conclusion there.
If I'm not mistaken there were reports that he always wanted PSG (reports before he even joined us) but PSG couldn't get him that year due to FFP. Ultimately if we wanted to get a player who didn't even want to come to us in the first place, we're the mugs.

Cool, so in conclusion your hatred is based on literally nothing, and is greater than some bellend mercenary who moved to City because he couldn't be fecked to fight for his place, who went on with a "RIP Fergie" sign after he won the title. Good one.
it shows how little I think of Di Maria, that yes I’d rather Tevez, who is of course a despicable bloke.

I watched the games, and you can tell he just gave up, the going got slightly tough and he didn’t have the mental strength to get through it. Incredibly weak minded individual. Not a lazy conclusion, based on hours of watching him play.

if you want to defend him, then go ahead, I’ve no idea why you would though - he took the club for a ride, and seemingly he and his wife can’t shut up about how bad the country is. Rat. Good riddance, and he will never be welcome.

Are you a Utd fan, or a Di Maria fan?

Fairly offensive remarks. There’s no pleasing a person like that - they were probably living in Cheshires Golden Triangle or somewhere like Hale in a massive house. There’s plenty of trendy restaurants, bars, boutiques between Cheshire and Manchester to keep anyone satisfied. The likes of Mata, de Gea, Aguero (bad example considering Giannani), Herrera, David Silva and their partners missing a few more to socialise and be friends with.

It’s interesting the way she says England not the North too - penny for her thoughts re London. I read de Geas partner said Manchester was like “the back of a fridge”. It’s strange how we seem to get that type but Mane & Firmino have had their houses robbed, Aguero said in that Amazon series that he was living on his own in Manchester and a bit lonely, etc that don’t seem to make disparaging remarks about the North.

And the reason why many middle class people want to move from Paris is to go to quieter and more affordable cities, criminality isn't one of the main criteria. There are still unsafe pockets (less and less every year with the raise of rent and property, and the general gentrification of the city), but generally speaking it's a safe city.
Oh yes its a safe city overall, like I'm pretty sure Manchester is a safe city overall with some rough area just like Paris.

I know they have been robbed just like PSG players also (I think it was Sirigu who was held at gunpoint).

Its just a bit rich how people knowing nothing about a city like Im pretty sure Di Maria wife, can seriously talk. Hell to this day I'm still amazed how some parisiens/franciliens dont know their own town/région...

Which you've concluded from feck all.

Cool, so basically nothing from his training application or his personal life, just some poor performances. So feck all, again.
if you want to defend him, then go ahead, I’ve no idea why you would though - he took the club for a ride, and seemingly he and his wife can’t shut up about how bad the country is. Rat.
Interesting, what is it that Di Maria has said about Manchester United of late?

Are you a Utd fan, or a Di Maria fan?
I don't need to be anti Di Maria to support Manchester United, what sort of a stupid suggestion is that?

What a poor post. I appreciate the effort, but not worth taking this any further. Clearly we have differing views, and I have better things to do.

I’ve put you on my ignore list.

Manchester is a class city and it's only getting nicer if you see what's being built there at the moment. Can fully understand why South Americans wouldn't like it, it's a different culture and obviously has worse weather. To be honest it's no surprise that some foreingers settle easily, and some don't. Fabregas loves London for example. There's probably lesser known players that only stayed a season in the Premier League because they didn't enjoy it.

I used to get battered when pointing out a player might choose Madrid over us because of the actually city being so much nicer, most didn't agree.
Have you seen where Manchester based players actually live? It’s absolutely idillic countryside mansions in various villages and towns across Cheshire. It’s about as far from shit holes as you can get.

Are there any successful South American footballers who have said they hated life in England?

I know many complain about the food but they still enjoy their time here. It seems like this is used as a cop out for why things didn't work out, rather than actually looking at themselves.

Classless to call somewhere a shithole and horrible. I don’t think we’d have bought ADM if Sir Alex was at the helm. Commitment was high on his list and anyone who was seemingly hesitant on joining, didn’t get in. He liked players married with families close by.

I don’t understand this new way of a player lives in Manchester for example while the family lives on the other side of the country or in a completely other country. It seems like a really shitty way of living first all and it doesn't scream someone who’s committed to the club. It says “Two years of work isolated from the family and I can go home and never see Manchester again”... That’s all I got from Jose Mourinho in hindsight as he lived in a fecking hotel room of all places.

I probably sound old fashioned about it but give me a team of the talented British guys and foreigners who genuinely love being here like Ighalo, over the stereotypical individually superior Hispanic player who uses us as stepping stone to Spain

Have you seen Madrid?
Or course, I’m just saying that it’s not cut and dry. The idea that Manchester and the surrounding area is just industrial wasteland and has absolutely nothing that could tempt any footballer compared to the attractions of Madrid isn‘t entirely true. Augero has enjoyed a decade there for example, I'm sure he’s had the chance to earn extortionate amounts in Madrid, Barcelona, Turin or even Paris :p

It's not an unrealistic view for some, the homeless people are increasingly intimidating, the food is shit, and the women do cake the makeup on. And that's before you start on the weather. Stil, its hard to take it seriously from somebody who seems to have forgotten she comes from one of the world's true shitholes.

And i would hate to live in Paris.

Yeah, was being facetious. Of course it's not cut and dry, and with the amounts these people earn, I'm sure you can have a nice life pretty much anywhere - or, at the very least, make the very best of any single place.

I just believe that despite her very harsh words (she's probably not a very intelligent or classy woman), there's an underlying point that is perfectly understandable.

Her point of reference was Madrid, not Rosario slums

For sure, which is why clubs like United will work hard during talks to entice them to the area and have tried and tested processes for settling. I think the problem with Di Maria was always Di Maria. He was sold like a sack of potatoes to United when he wanted to go to Paris. He never even tried to fit in.

If was a millionaire, offered a job earning more millions with a choice of living in a mansion on the suburbs of Manchester or a mansion on the suburb of Madrid I know were I would go.

Do you prefer signing players who like to live the playboy life styles and enjoy the night life?
Your going from one extreme to the other. It doesnt have to be a playboy lifestyle. Maybe that player just wants to look up to a blue sunny sky and relax by his pool instead of looking out of his mansion window at a miserable grey sky thats always pissing rain

A lot of people on here must live in some beautiful idyllic places with the disparaging way they talk about Manchester.

Im not down talking Manchester, but be honest. I mean how many tourists visit Manchester every year and how many Madrid. Madrid gets around 6m tourists a year and there are no beaches so thats not the reason. I lived there for almost a year it was an amazing City to live in.

He didn't want to come here, he gave up instantly, he was a fecking fanny and he left to the farmers league of PSG where they win the title by February every year and then bottle it in the CL.

Him and his bigmouth wife still seem to fecking hate Manchester and Manchester Utd and the feeling is entirely mutual.

He gave it the big 'un last season in the first leg when PSG beat us 2-0 and then looked a daft cnut in the 2nd leg when we knocked them out and the camera cut right to him after the final whistle

Footballers who play for United and City don't live in Manchester. They live in massive mansions in Cheshire in some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. So their community is not Manchester.

They also don't rub shoulders with regular people. Their entire world revolves around other footballers. So their cultural experience is not Mancunian.

Nobody on this forum can speak to the way of life of these players. We can only realise how different it is from everybody else's because of the obvious segregations.

It's irrelevant for anybody to talk about how shit Manchester because they once had a bad korma on the Curry Mile or walked past a homeless man at a tram stop. That's not the footballer-life.

Cheshire some of the most beautiful countryside in the world is a tad of an exaggeration.
I still believe Madrid, Barcelona are more desirable places for a multi millionaires to live in than Cheshire.
