Another thread locked for no good reason?

This Joshua King thread. (see below) was locked. Because it was deemed by some to be stupid. Wrong.

It is a live potential transfer and was so before Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has now confirmed. Club have turned it down but Howe hasn' t ruled out the departure while indicating we were too late in our move as they cant bring anyone in.

Such a shame that this indiscriminate locking is continuing.

You're the one who is wrong.

Opening post should include a link to a legitimate source of the transfer rumour.

Do not create threads for players unless you can provide a source. If there's no source then you're simply discussing a footballer, so go to the Football Forum instead

It is simple. Here's another thread locked for what you'll probably deem as 'no good reason', but simply because all discussion has been exhausted and I've proved that the thread you're moaning about was closed for a valid reason and you need to get this chip off your shoulder.

A new King thread is free to be created with the source in the OP, though it seems fairly fruitless now as, like you've said, Howe has confirmed it isn't happening as it is too late for Bournemouth to bring someone in.

In situations like that, where a thread in the transfers forum gets locked pending a source/link - all you have to do is PM the mod who closed it (I made a post in the thread to explain the lock) or another mod who is around at the time, with a suitable link and we can reopen it. Not everything is a conspiracy organised by the Borg collective staff to spoil your fun.
