Well he does enough for the manager to talk about it, a bit different to saying he does shit all.

Funny thing is that Ole talks about how it's so hard for defenders to play against him because the ball sticks to him - the same thing the OP was saying +/- 10% before some guy was acting like a scarecrow on the forum calling crap hyperbolic?

Like chill, the managers and fans see that the ball sticks to his feet & he is an asset to our gameplay because of it - because people are not English journalists or mathematicians doesnt make them hyperbolic.
I’m sure this makes sense to you but I’m struggling.

Still our best player in my opinion. Looked way sharper against PSG, expecting a good game from him against Leipzig. Needs a goal and I'm sure the floodgates will open.
Agreed. Think greenwood would eventually be better though.

Good he didn’t take it too seriously and he’s in good spirits. Exactly how it’s supposed to be
Just goes to show that the squad and players are in good spirits, even if the media try to say otherwise.

I am reposting this from the matchday thread because I really want Martial to make me look like a tit today. I am very disappointed in his performances so far and really want him to wake up and prove me wrong.

I really want to see Martial playing with determined energy tonight. I am not expecting him to be Tevez of course, but I would like to see something from him, a fire and fight and single-minded determination to score which has been missing this season.

He has had a week to rest and train so there is no excuse for him to come out like he's on valium, again.

I think he's looked much sharper with ever game he's played, I'm hoping for a big performance tonight.

I’d rather he came out as if he’s been on viagra. Full of anticipation, and excitement, he will be big, hard, ready to penetrate the back line, and almost certain to score.

It’ll be a close call, I reckon.

As I see it, Greenwood has the potential to be one of the best finishers of his generation. I still am in doubt wether he can build enough on the other aspects of the striker role to be considered a better allround player than Martial. I’m talking about them both in their peak.

I think that Martial has proven that he can be a lethal finisher. He has also been showing signs of being a fox in the box both by scoring more tap-ins, and by improving his aerial presence. In addition, Martial has a crazy drive and ball control while maintaining high speed. He’s at times out of this world at high speed dribling and can be impossible to defend against. On top of that he also has a potent long shot - especially when cutting in from left.

My point is, that while both players have world class, or potentially world class, key attributes, Martial has really added to the rest of the aspects of the striker role. Especially his physical attributes are standing out. I don’t think Greenwood will be a world class striker unless he develops the physical side of his game a lot.

I mean I guess he was slightly better against PSG, but that is really only because he was so incredibly bad the previous games that it was almost impossible for him to be worse.

Haha I feel like this is mocking my writing style. And it will cause me to re-think things.

Played well today agianst their CBs who were very physical at times. I hope this gives him some confidence.

He's so dangerous coming off that left but he does like an extra touch or two. Feel like he could have had a couple before the floodgates opened. Decent night from Tony though overall.

Worked hard and put in a decent shift.

He looks lost for confidence in front of goal but he took the penalty well and hopefully that will get him back into form.

Most important goal of the season thus far (got a credible assist soon after). As a team predicated on individual output, we cannot achieve anything without Anthony.

He needs more goals but he adds this first touch tempo to our game which I really enjoy watching.

In my opinion Martial should be competing with VDB for false 9 role depending on form. Let martial provide cover for LF and let VDB provide all midfielders areas.

Slowly getting back to his post lockdown form. Cavani, mason, Rashford and Anthony that's tasty... sorry Odion

He played really well overall. Made several great runs, but unfortunately took too many touches in them before passing/shooting, but that was still his best performance since the season started and deserved the pen.

He has a strange ability to win penalties.

That aside good game today, worked hard and was rewarded at the end.

He was good. Still has another level he hasn’t gone to this season so far.

Very good. Shows how much we miss him when he's out. We just didn't have the quality on Saturday.

He is so important to us because he is our best runner with the ball.

He needs to dribble more because he is hard to tackle.

His unselfishness is pleasant to see, I loved how he helped set up Rashford's 3rd goal.

Definitely grew into the game... he generally seems to play much better when Bruno and Rashford are around.
