Seemed like it was going that way.

Hope it’s not another player United can’t shift and get stuck with

I've not followed him there at all, but I'm assuming he's just continued his, disinterested, lazy, I'm bored with for all this, style?

I wonder where he will end up. Currently he’s on downward spiral to the levels of Dele Alli

He'll end up at any club who'll carry on paying him anything at all after his United contract expires.

The elephant is in the room and there's no point not talking about it, but this major fail loan move at Sevilla will make it almost impossible to ship him due to his wages.
He was supposed to be the player that would give them the edge they needed to challenge for a top 2 position, but instead he's being very underwhelming.

Just be glad they got someone to pay half his wages for 6 months. That's a win in my book.

I can see ETH taking a liking to him. Similar player to Haller in a way.

He's probably the best suited forward we have with his back to goal right now - realistically though I just don't think he loves football enough to really try anymore.

Lacking poaching instinct is a huge distinction. And it's a make or break factor for Haller at Ajax. I don't see him doing that well beside scoring.

If ETH really comes, and can get us to create to a similar competent level, then it's Ronaldo that fits this role.

Has failed to impress and is probably coming back, another problem to add to the list.
I find it very hard to see a future for him over here and yet I can't see us offloading him either with the wages he's on , quite the pickle.

We've shifted other players on big wages. The new manager just needs to make it realy clear he has no future here.

If Sevilla could send him back they would The fans are livid whenever he plays.
Is he being booed? I found it amusing our players crying lately about not being supported or whatever, and them thinking they have it bad here, they should just wait until they go to clubs that won't tolerate seeing players amble about like they're eeyore.

Yes, he's being booed. Sevilla fans are very passionate about the club. They will forgive your lack of talent if you show some effort to fight for the game. And to add more pressure, Betis is only 4 points behind them and could steal them the 4th position, which would cause a big roar in the training ground facilities.

I think most fans could forgive the lack of good performances if they showed fight like you say, and I'm glad some clubs know its okay to boo players.

At United it seems that isn't okay which in my opinion creates self entitled players to which we have in abundance, why would they need to try hard if they know they're getting cheered at the end of the game regardless?

Then the few times they do get called out it hurts their feelings, I can't wait for most of these players to leave and be given a reality check.

He is such a tool. All he has to do is try his best and his talent will help bring him success. It is quite pathetic that a professional footballer has no ambition to win or please the fans.

The man is a physical specimen. But mentally, he has collapsed. Is there any realistic chance that psychological counseling could bring him back to at least a shadow of the player he was a years ago?

Martial doesn't really strike me as the ambitious type so considering that no one is willing to give the wages we do he might as well see out his contract.

I think whatever physical specimen he once was is gone for one reason or another. He looks slow, unable to take players on, I don't even think it's a motivational thing at this point, he just looks physically shot.

Me neither but I can see him wanting to live elsewhere. If on top of that it's made clear he won't be playing I think he'll move on.

Kid moves to United as a teenager and get angry when top players are signed in his position. You don’t think hes ambitious?

I think he is and thats why he wants to leave. Too bad for him hes also not developed. Any player who is staying at United those are those ones who ambitions probably should be questioned.

Everyone is ambitious if you define it like that what matters is how hard he's willing to work for that and so far he has failed to impress, Ronaldo is ambitious so is eto or mane i certainly wouldn't call martial that .

No players like Jones, Mata, Lingard and many others stayed when they know they have no chance of playing, Martial got out the door when he could.
I'm not going to comment on how hard he works because I don't know

For me, booing has always a matter of context and fans are always within their right to do so, specially considering how much money they spend to follow their teams

I get your point by you to work hard to get it , just wanting to be the best isn't enough.
And while I agree that we can't say for certain how he works behind the scenes his on field displays are very damming.

Martial will be either going out on loan again or stuck on our bench. Nobody is going to pay us for him.

He will be tough to shift but despite the way things have gone in Sevilla the comments from his camp have been consistent that he has no intention of coming back to play here. The only way he goes on a permanent transfer is if he is willing to take a significant pay cut and I do not see that happening so we are probably looking at a loan deal where we get maybe a nominal fee and still end up paying half of his wages. Sounds like an Italian job.

So many people used to talk about how Dan James "didn't have a football brain". He did, he just didn't have the skill to pull off what his brain was telling him to do. Martial on the other hand has absolutely no footballing brain. 95% of this game is played without the ball and what you do during that time is key. James was great off the ball. He just didn't have the finish to go with it, but made some very good runs and worked his socks off. Martial on the other hand doesn't see the game at all. He is constantly "showing for the ball", which is fine some of the time, but you have to be able to anticipate. Martial is far to reactionary. He isn't lazy. His running numbers will back that up. But he needed to add "tap ins" to his game, but that just won't happen if you are always "showing for the ball". It's so frustrating. He has the talent but for one reason or another, it just won't click. I'd love to combine Martial's ability with James' off the ball runs, speed and work rate. Then we'd have one hell of a player on our hands...

I don't disagree but, the point really was you can't call it lack of ambition.
Maybe he doesn't have what it takes mentally to make it, but its not for lack of ambition

Agree, context is key obviously, I don't agree with booing after a poor performance when it's a rare occurrence, but for the oast decade the players have gradually gotten worse with effort levels appearing at an all time low for most of this squad, I think most are entitled to boo.

Weirdly I think cheering is also a problem at this point, though I wouldn't begrudge anyone who does, I just think it creates a bubble for the players, they assume they're performances are good enough and that they're just unlucky, hence why we continously got statements like "we'll do better next time" after every poor result - this happened almost weekly a while ago, now they don't even feel the need to do that.
