Antoine Semenyo | Manchester City Player

Beyond bizarre he hasn't been seriously linked with anyone. Signed a new deal in the summer but presume there's a release clause for a european side.

Great counter attack player who's adapted to Iraola's high pressing style so to me he'd be a good fit in most top sides.

For sure. They did great by getting him to sign a new deal. He'll be off next summer. I'm sure all the top teams will want him.

I said back when we were linked to Mbeumo that Semenyo impresses me more.

Both great players but Semenyo is truly electric. Love that guy.

He's so two footed as well, that just fecks up any defender by default. Son was like this in his prime.

What a player. Imagine he would thrive in a top 6 side.
Brilliant larker, no wonder they warded people off at the start of summer.

Quite refreshing from a general perspective to see a club with a 11k stadium capacity tell clubs “70M or feck off” for their star players

@FootballHQ United were reported to be interested but Bournemouth's valuation (which is quite fair).

He's always crap for Ghana, so strange. But love him as a player.

Kept his form and confidence from the Championship and keeps doing what he was doing.

You went for Mbeumo instead and have Amad also so simply no room at Man. United for the foreseeable.

Guessing Spurs might be an option and us if we ever free ourselves of PSR constraints or he goes abroad.

Or Liverpool get him in a year early to shadow Salah.

He's mainly the reason that means Bournemouth will be nowhere near bottom 3. Seen a few writes tip them to go down but their attackers are comfortably better than what is left at Brentford and a few other drifting teams.

feck it I'll take him anyway.

He's quite a player and he almost singlehandedly brought down Liverpool. Looked much better than Wirtz. (Realize they are different players, but Semenyo seems custom built for EPL.)

I think Bournemouth have more about them than a single player, but yes, he's important. With United, I think he was in the mix, but there was always this 70m reported price, and United clearly believed they could get Mbeumo for less than what we eventually paid, at which point we were likely in too deep.

I was just saying he's clearly made an impression on the bigger clubs. But he could be more highly rated, for instance, Eze is linked with both Spurs and Arsenal, and IMV Semenyo is the better player (and two years younger).

Issue with Arsenal is simply Saka so no point going there and just become squad/rotation player. Eze would be more for left side which is a weakish position for Arsenal so that makes sense if they're playing a waiting game.

Pretty sure he was mentioned for Newcastle but they got in Elanga once Mbuemo rejected them.

 If they went for him over Semenyo..

Deserves a lot of credit for how he handled that. Scoring a brace as well to shut the idiot up.

I think he might be the best pure ball striker in the league, especially with his weaker foot. Scored a nasty goal with his weaker left against us last year.

Semenyo can play both right and left side though, watch his highlights, he's probably the best '2 sided winger' in the league in terms of struggling to pinpoint which side he's strongest on.

For that reason, i'm surprised that we weren't linked more instead of Madueke. Maybe it was the price tag putting people off? Maybe there's something in the data that doesn't show up well? Shame, because the lad is an Arsenal fan as well.

He's good on the ball but I still question his end product. Very inconsistent at crossing, finding the final ball etc.

He is definitely inconsistent, but he is the type of player we watch football for and there isn’t enough of them about.

Too many boring athletes and water carriers. Give me an inconsistent maverick doing maverick things any day of the week. Fantastic to watch.

Is that not a bit of an oxymoron? An inconsistent player doing it any day of the week…..

Inconsistent in terms of his end product. He is still great to watch taking people on and going past people.

First time I've watched him play properly and I'm impressed. Over the summer, most posters clearly wanted Mbeumo over him when it looked like the Mbeumo deal was stalling.

And rightly so, Mbuemo is further along.
