But he’s still one dimensional in la liga? So is it a case of the PL full backs being a lot better than la liga, Antony being more confident again or a bit of both?Good on him. He was too one dimensional for the pl though. Just get a good fee 40-50m and get over it
The fiorentina one in my humble opinion. Absolute postage stamp, on his weak foot from pretty much a static position. But, both goals were outrageousI don’t know which goal was more beautiful: this one or the Fiorentina goal.
We need him back, give him till Jan transfer window. Spanish sides will buy him then regardless if he has not clicked in Premier League
Highest ever level of defending in Premier League I think, it’s basically 20 prime AC Milan defenses over here or even better. But he’s still one dimensional in la liga? So is it a case of the PL full backs being a lot better than la liga, Antony being more confident again or a bit of both?
Must be, cause he’s doing exactly the same over there. Got to throw in the fact we are absolutely rubbish and create nothing or play as a team well.Highest ever level of defending in Premier League I think, it’s basically 20 prime AC Milan defenses over here or even better.

The more I watch it the better it gets honestly.Holy shit, 91st minute winner as well.
Someone in La Liga better pay up for this dude. £30m would not be unreasonable for what he's shown at Betis.
Love the reaction of his teammates as well. The three closest to the goal look like they're in shock. The more I watch it the better it gets honestly.
He has pretty serious personal issues when he was with us. They appear to be resolved. We’d be crazy to take him back, take the money in the summer and move on. He’s not suited to the Premier League and that’s not going to change.
The whole point of loaning him out was to be able to sell him and it’s one of the few things that has actually worked this season.

I think you have to add in we are rubbish and have no attacking structure to help create space for any attacker, so they all look worse than they are in my opinion.I would say a bit of both. La Liga seems to be a little less intense. Players have more time on the ball. Therefor the cut inside will be easier. But confidence helps for sure

He always was able to create space to cut inside though. He's just hitting them way better, it's more the pressure due to the price tag and United being dysfunctional for a long time.I would say a bit of both. La Liga seems to be a little less intense. Nah it was largely antonyThe issue wasn't Antony but rather how our team was weak in the build up phase from the backline and into midfield. When you as a team have no ball control in deeper areas of the pitch against the opponent's press then you will predictably as a team keep going direct and hence players in wider areas will be required to provide pace and physicality hence negating their technical qualities on the ball. And that's what happened with Antony because when your CBs and deeper midfield cannot resist, evade and vertically pass the ball at a good level then the forward players will be isolated due to a lack of passing options and hence playing in transition becomes the norm. Quite a few of the City players who played in wider roles and did really for them would struggle in our team due to not having the same level of control behind them from the CB positions and into midfield.
If you look at the Real Betis team, their midfield as far as evading, resisting and progressing the ball forward is better than ours with players like Carvalho, Cardoso and Altimira. And that isn't even a top level midfield but with the qualities they possess it means they can have more of the ball and have extra passing options in the final third which really helps the players in the forward areas due to the support behind them.
No. Get rid now because he'll face exactly the same problems in not being suited to PL football. Sell him now while his value is highest and invest in cm or attack. We need him back, give him till Jan transfer window. Spanish sides will buy him then regardless if he has not clicked in Premier League
Yep, thats the oneThat's not the Arsenal Bellerin celebrating with him ?
Thought he retired...or he should've done.
