Surely he has been one of our best-performing loaners. It should not be hard to find buyers for him.
Prretty sure we briefly tried it for a game or two. He was pants to say the least, that and from what I remember he thought it beneath him to play as a wingback. If we can't move him on this summer.
Why not try him on LWB? He works hard and could cross from his strongest leg?
Ah yeah i remember now that he did not want to play there..no wonder Amorim moved him on then.Prretty sure we briefly tried it for a game or two. He was pants to say the least, that and from what I remember he thought it beneath him to play as a wingback.
I wonder how much we'll be able to convince teams to pay for him. Clearly not worth anything north of £20m at this stage, which is a scary difference from what we paid. If we get anything near £40m id be happy.
Think we need 40 to be PSR compliant for it to not go down as a lossif they offer 30 or more....bit off their fingers and move him on
Excellent, throw in Ten Hag's Leverkusen too (baldy owes us) for a lovely bidding war.Apparently Villarreal very interested too
32.5m as stated in the quoted messageThink we need 40 to be PSR compliant for it to not go down as a loss
Weghorst loves all the clubs he's currently at. He also really loved FC Twente. Until Ajax came and he went there. He now kisses the badge and makes the Amsterdam 3 crosses sign passionately. Its funny because people would love a loan player doing similar here. I remember how much people were enamoured by how much Weghorst seemed to love being at United, sitting staring at the fans with heart eyes after Carabao etc.
Maybe i read euros. Fair's32.5m as stated in the quoted message
I was expecting loads of teams in spain to be interesting after supposedly being one of the best attackers in the league according to some!![]()

either way i still believe it'll be difficult to get a spanish side to pay over 30m that isn't either madrid club32.5m as stated in the quoted message
Agreed, been saying this for a while. Cash flow is the primary concern.Having seen the PSR figures today, is there not a world where we prioritise cash over regulation in the context of Antony? Even if it counts as a loss, if it doesn’t impact our ability to sign our targets from a regulatory perspective, and gives us more leeway from a cash flow perspective, could that still be attractive? We don’t seem to be in much danger of a breach.
He already did a job. Won the fa cup and qualified for Europa in 23/24.Transfer rumors have been quiet around him. Is no club interested in him? If we’re stuck with him, can he do a job for us with some newfound confidence?

When Hakim Ziyech started doing that at first I thought he told us to shove it all up our arses.Weghorst loves all the clubs he's currently at. He also really loved FC Twente. Until Ajax came and he went there. He now kisses the badge and makes the Amsterdam 3 crosses sign passionately.
They are selling Cardoso, will depend how much they get for him from Atletico
It's mad to me that they haven't come in for him. He's perfect for them, and they don't mind spending money.I was really hoping to start hearing Atletico's name linked. They are the one who I could see paying what we need.
I thought he liked Xzibit...When Hakim Ziyech started doing that at first I thought he told us to shove it all up our arses.
Biggest load of bollocks I've ever heardYeah, no one’s believing that shite!![]()

He moved to leftback late on in games twice under ETH. He was clearly not happy about it either time, but knuckled down and performed quite well in at least one of them (can't remember his performance in the second).Prretty sure we briefly tried it for a game or two. He was pants to say the least, that and from what I remember he thought it beneath him to play as a wingback.
That is their transfer record and they have not gone near it since. La Liga is pretty cash strapped outside of Barca, Real and Atletico. The Cardoso sale might help them to get close and honestly we should be willing to bend a bid on the 32.5 just to be fully shot of him, we can always protect ourselves by including a decent sell on clause if we give them a discount on the fee and hope to get it back if he does well and ends up moving on in another couple of years. I feel we ought to be motivated to find an arrangement that works for all parties here.Betis paid £21.5M for Denilson in 1998, surely they can stump up £32.5M for Antony in 2025.
