Can't wait till the Derby match on the 18th.

The Euros have been a nice distraction, but United are real football.

Who's likely to be available for the Derby match? I presume none of the international players. Are we gonna see the likes of Garner and Laird?

Strange that no signs of Martial yet in training.
He's channelled supreme beast mode in readiness for the season - apparently he's been too quick for the outdated manutd.com cameras to pick him up.

Would be nice to get some info on where Martial and VDB are having not been pictured in training at all yet, still rehabbing after their injuries and doing indoor work maybe?

Erm, whoever that is in goal hopefully isn't starting the first game.

August 1st English players returning? That’s not even 3 weeks rest. Oh well.

Henderson? He 100% will
Henderson is wearing shorts and all-white gloves. The goalie conceding in those clips is wearing jogging bottoms and red-backed gloves.

If I had to guess (and it is only a guess) I think it's Kovar. But it's difficult to tell.

Not too sure how much I believe it, but there's been a few rumours that Ole is looking to try a new formation, which, to be honest, no one had the luxury of doing last year as there was no pre-season.

Whilst Ole's default formation is 4231, rumours have said that he wants to lean towards a 433, with the likes of Pogba and Van de Beek pushing further forward.

Not entirely sure if we have the players back to implement a 433 tomorrow but I'm looking forward to the game.

According to MEN, the predicted team is:

Heaton; Wan-Bissaka, Mengi, Tuanzebe, Telles; Garner, Matic; Elanga, Mata, Shoretire, Greenwood.

Yeah. Elanga looked really lively against Wolves. Got into some good positions and scored a really good header.

Shoretire is meant to have massive potential, and we all know about Greenwood.

Hoping they all give a good account of themselves.

One thing it certainly isn't with that side is a 433 though as had been rumoured

Yeah, it's looking like Ole's favoured 4231. I think when we get Pogba, Van de Beek and Bruno back, it could be a possibility.

That said, the rumours could be completely off. For a 433 to work, we'd need a specialist holding midfielder, and unless Ole is looking to splash out on another player, I can't see how playing a single pivot would suit us.

Had been really wondering what was going on with Martial - thought he'd have been past his injury considering there was talk about him possibly being ready for the EL final but, sounds like it's taken a lot longer.

They kept mentioning a training camp for this coming week on the MUTV coverage, but didn’t mention where. Couldn’t find anything online. Anyone know where they’re going?

Pennyhill Park near London.

It’s where the England rugby team train.

2 weeks is the most optimal for players rest.

More than that will risk of them losing fitness.
The players need longer than 2 weeks to rest. They should be getting a full 6 weeks rest at the end of a season to let their bodies fully recover from a full seasons work. They dont just need a physical break they need a mental break too. As it is decent professionals keep up a light fitness regime while on holiday. 2 weeks rest is optimal???? where did you get that from?

How the feck did these two get injured during the off season? Or are these injuries picked up during the season?
In Martial's case we presume it's the same injury that kept him out of the end of last season. In VDB's it's the injury that kept him out of the Euro's

Of course had there not been the close season are we meant to presume they'd of missed this many months of action? Ridiculous for such innocuous injuries
