They are proving impossible to beat! Very impressive from Slot.
Who is the Michael Carrick of Liverpool?
Stevie G.Who is the Michael Carrick of Liverpool?
Carrick played more than twice as many matches for us, they need to find someone else for that!Alonso probably, he is out of work now.

I think we can all agree that this is the best solutionSlippy G then.
Yeah they should've killed the game before the equaliser. Think Slot is safe for now, results are not too bad but don't see him being Liverpool manager next season. My perennially pessimistic, professionally dour Liverpool supporting mate says they were actually good today and that Wirtz was great.
I'm hoping they don't click and go on a proper run.
Agree. And different culture to the toxic one at Real Madrid, you'd think at least.Alonso being a free agent almost makes Slot a lame duck till the end of the season.
And that Liverpool squad would fit Alonsos Leverkusen system very well.

I doubt they will fire Slot. A transition was inevitable that they are starting to go through, especially when Salah leaves and VVD becomes a liability.Annoyingly typical that just when it's finally Liverpool's turn to be saddled with a poor manager, Xabi Alonso gets unexpectedly sacked at Madrid and becomes a free agent. As soon as their chips are down, the football gods immediately throw them a miracle solution.
5 wins in 17 PL games and a worse PPG than Hodgson after a similar number of matches played. Horrendous form.
Not sure today was on him as much as it was the players. Where we struggle is the spells in games when the opposition put us under pressure. We’re so easy to create good chances against.
I think he’s gone either in a few weeks or the summer at the latest.

I am half expecting to see Alonso managing them by Monday. Looking at their squad they’re not really anything impressive anymore and the hate o slot is probably a tad unfair but still.
You're spot on, he does.I must have heard Arne Slot say "Not for the first time this season we hardly conceded a chance, but we did concede a goal", about 20 times this season.
He must drive the Liverpool fans crackers.
Slot turning Mo into an isolated touchline winger after the season he just had playing more centrally is on him too though. He's got this team built around Cody fecking Gakpo and this is the end result of that.Salah not being their cheat code anymore is the most significant change imo. He's been a complete freak for years and years now, pulling out goals and assists out of nothing. Regardless of who's manager him being gone will be the difference.
Yossi Benayoun or Sammi Hyypia.Who is the Michael Carrick of Liverpool?
That man is Steven Gerrard.Happy they got burnt, but this means only one thing, they might be in a market for a (maybe PL-proven) manager.
Alonso I think will take time off and could be a great timing for them. Might go for Enrique if he'd fancy a challenge. Or hopefull not for Iraola, my personal favourite for United job ATM.
I should’ve clarified, yesterday was more on the players, but the issue I referenced is on Slot. We’re not handling any kind of pressure and we’re easy to build up against.Do you not think there is an argument that that is on him? The sideways passing and lack of intensity invites pressure and pressure will turn into goals more often than not.
That was the problem partly but it’s better now. Wirtz starts from the left but has freedom to drift around a bit, or even if he’s in the 10 he does that.I obviously dont watch as much as you do but there's a lot of quality in that team, I could almost see what the problem was earlier in the season, it looked to me like it was the move away from 3 hard working CM's to accommodate Wirtz at no10. It looks as though you've reverted to the 3 CMs now with Wirtz playing wide.
I'd still fancy you to get top 4, it just feels as though you've got goals in the team and have got enough to get there, although some of last seasons higher performers dont seem to be quite at it.
Where do you see the major problem?
It’s really amusing how much your fan base hate Cody Gakpo. He’s your Dalot.Slot turning Mo into an isolated touchline winger after the season he just had playing more centrally is on him too though. He's got this team built around Cody fecking Gakpo and this is the end result of that.
They lucked out with Klopp exactly the same way I seem to remember.Would deliciously be Gerrard....
People seem to think Slot has turned it around but he hasn't really. Were alright at Arsenal but couldn't beat Fulham despite leading that game in 96th minute and draws at home to Leeds and Burnley is pretty poor.
With Xabi Alonso available I think patience will very quickly run out. Not even sure they'd wait until the summer.
Klopp had resigned at Dortmund in May and we didn't sack Rodgers until early October. Not sure what's lucky about appointing the right manager who's available. They lucked out with Klopp exactly the same way I seem to remember.
It's mostly because of how many minutes he plays for me. Sharing the same nationality as Slot doesn't help things I suppose. It’s really amusing how much your fan base hate Cody Gakpo. He’s your Dalot.
