I thought last season he looked tactically decent in terms of being able to switch systems/players when things weren't working but now that he has more of 'his' players in the side and Salah doesn't look as imperious, they've been very poor.
Might be a consequence of the transfer overkill. Last season they relied on Salah to win the games for them, now that Salah starts declining, the team might be thinking 'let the 150m boys do it'..I thought last season he looked tactically decent in terms of being able to switch systems/players when things weren't working but now that he has more of 'his' players in the side and Salah doesn't look as imperious, they've been very poor.
He has no idea what his best team is any more. Last season he knew 8 or 9/11 every week.I thought last season he looked tactically decent in terms of being able to switch systems/players when things weren't working but now that he has more of 'his' players in the side and Salah doesn't look as imperious, they've been very poor.
"Sack Watch", of courseCan we have a new title ? Arne Slop the baldy Dutch fraud ?
Yeah, I'd probably agree with you. I think Frimpong and Kerkez still have plenty of time in their career but I'm still really surprised you went for both for a back 4 when they're both so poor defensively. He has no idea what his best team is any more. Last season he knew 8 or 9/11 every week.
Now he’s got four fullbacks who all look shakey, he’s stuck with Konate, he’s trying to shape the midfield with a 10 instead of an 8 and he doesn’t know what to do with his front three.
I’d stick with Frimpong and Kerkez (they need to be played into form), play Szobozslai and Gravenberch then Wirtz as a 10 (we have to persist with him or he has no chance of improving), then put Ekitike left with Isak up top and I guess persist with Salah? The latter looks like he’s in a decline like Robertson’s last season. Very ineffective.

Someone said it well, that they're having their rebuild season a year later than everyone expected them to!Is this Slot’s first Liverpool crisis? It’s taken nearly 18 months if so but hope and pray we can compile it in a fortnights time!
I still believe if Salah is off for them, they are very beatable…. he’s just been that massive for them.
"Sack Watch", of course
Lost TAA, who shoddy defending aside, did help the team a lot with both his set pieces and crossing but also building play from the back.He has no idea what his best team is any more. Last season he knew 8 or 9/11 every week.

Wouldn't happen right after winning the title of course, but if this run continues, there has to be some scrutiny of how the signings have unbalanced things. If he was our manager just imagine the media circus.
Analyse that on TV you bald prick.
I’m so done with Bradley. The definition of an average slogger. He’ll end up at Fulham or Bournemouth. No better than Nico Williams (maybe worse).Yeah, I'd probably agree with you. He got lucky last season, Saint Pep was off form due to domestic issues and the gooners were typical goonersWouldn't happen right after winning the title of course, but if this run continues, there has to be some scrutiny of how the signings have unbalanced things.
Yes the league totally opened up for them, but I'm not convinced either of those 2 scenarios are much improved. He got lucky last season, Saint Pep was off form due to domestic issues and the gooners were typical gooners

Aside from that, a lot of high priced signings in at once, after years of more stable building.
Yeah that was another instance of Bradley playing himself out of the team.I’m so done with Bradley. The definition of an average slogger. He’ll end up at Fulham or Bournemouth. No better than Nico Williams (maybe worse).
Slot needs to back his signings and play them until we start seeing a bit of form. We’ve been good in patches but it’s mostly been uncontrolled basketball or we’ve been second best.
This.I really hope this turns into a proper crisis.
Manager slowly losing his grip on the players as well as his own sanity. Expensive flops. Fans turning on the manager and the players. The works.
Someone else deserves a taste.
Well, it's in our hands, I guess.I really hope this turns into a proper crisis.

Let's hope so though!
I bet you were once LightLord before your dark times.This.
We've had 6 full course meals of this shite.
I am certainly enjoying the in depth Redknapp and Sturridge assessment of it all, for probably the first time ever!I really hope this turns into a proper crisis.

Yeah agreed. A more hardworking and better player than Gakpo.I see TAA mentioned a lot but I think Diaz leaving is equally a big hit, especially with Salah playing so poorly.
Such a shame it didn't happen straight away last season, but we'll take any glimmer of it this year.I really hope this turns into a proper crisis.

@KirkDuytNever give a Dutch manager money to spend.
I was until 2013.I bet you were once LightLord before your dark times.
Not sure why they spent so much on two attackers when they could have kept Diaz and spent on defense insteadAlso, the amount of criticism we got for not signing a keeper sooner, yet this lot were pissing around all summer while Guehi was sitting there. They made a token gesture as deadline day was approaching, meanwhile, they throw goals away for fun.
Hopefully Wirtz continues to underwhelm. I didn't see the point in signing Isak, when they already had Ekitike. Just completely unnecessary. Gakpo is a decent player, but he's squad player level. They could have invested in that position or as you say, kept Diaz. They lost Alexander-Arnold and failed to replace him. Frimpong isn't even a right-back. He's very overrated and it says something when Szoboszlai looks their best option there. Then there is Konate, whist messing around all summer in their pursuit of Guehi. Just a really poor, ill-thought-out window. Not sure why they spent so much on two attackers when they could have kept Diaz and spent on defense instead
