I’ve never heard the term “DVD” used to describe an East Asian person before. I live in Manchester though so maybe it’s a southern thing.

Outside the usual places where people would sell knockoff DVD's "back in the day", you would get a lot of people (quite often of an East Asian background) trying to sell said DVD's in pubs across London. No idea how common this was across the rest of the country but it happened to me several times. Sat with a pint and suddenly had ropey copies of Face Off and Men in Black 2 being waved in my face. I think this and market dealers doing similar lead to stereotypes like the "Charlie Wong" character on Fonejacker etc.
Yeah, it was a weekly occurrence at a pub in Fitzrovia a bunch of used to frequent when I worked that way- must have been about 12 years ago now. One mate used to buy loads of porn off him and he'd try and get someone else to chip in for the four for £20 deal or whatever it was.
Troopz is a disgrace. He made a racist comment about Kane, but it was swept under the carpet by Robbie. Only reason being is that Troopz brings hits to the channel, although I cant think why.
Your saying that because he said it about white people. I gurantee if a white person would have said, he hasnt been booked because he is black, it would have been jumped on and considered to be a racist comment. We cant have it all ways, there has to be equality in life.
White people don't get stopped by the police because of the colour of their skin.

I'd say no as well but it also has nothing to do with the actual comment. "Player X is not booked because he is black" that actually fits the context would probably be labelled as racist, whether rightly so or not I don't know. But "someone is booked because they are black/white/Asian" is the last thing that would pop in my mind during a football match. If someone casually brings it up for no reason when race is not relevant at all, it might give you an idea about where their views that they don't share might stand in general.

They didn't have many chances at all. They had a lot of the ball but I cant remember Liverpool actually having a decent effort at goal? Arsenal look much better than under Emery.

If anyone wants to do an in-depth study of refereeing decisions, I'd be frankly staggered if white players and British nationals didn't get favourable treatment. Not because officials are frothing at the mouth racists, but because A) unconscious bias is everywhere and B) referees are completely unrepresentative of the players they are officiating.

It was more likely the ramblings of a mad BludFam, but imagine that was DT saying "Bergwijn wasnt booked there because he's black"... If one comment is racist, so it's the other, regardless off whether whites or Black's get mistreated by police.

Spot on. There's a lot of dangerous ideas around these days concerning what constitutes racism. In my view anything that creates a potential inequality should be challenged as unacceptable.
Is what Troopz said going to cause as much upset as if he replaced 'white' with 'black'? Probably not, but that doesn't make it okay.
100% agree. He should have been pulled off the channel aswell .That would have been Robbie sending a statement of intent. Unfortunately the reality is he generates lot of clicks on that channel and that would be $$ lost for Robbie. Channel is a disgrace

Channel started off with good intentions, however everything they do now is an act and for controversy. They are just a mob.
That's exactly the point, though. There isn't equality, there was vast historical inequality.
Lets see, in very most cases domestic violence is about men hitting women. So jokes about men hitting women are not all that amusing - a position you can take mainly to defend women, promote the cause if you like. They think the hitting is wrong and the cause is good.
If I joke about a woman hitting a man then it's not great but it probably has ironic, bittersweet amusing intent behind it, from someone on the widely regarded correct side of the argument. And it's still actually a joke about men hitting women and the prevailing inequality.
I'd concede the racism thing isn't perhaps as clearcut. But it's certainly the same principle in the context of Troopz's attempt at a joke.
Unless you believe women are hitting men all the time like we are supposed to believe the black man enslaves and deprives the white man to the same degree as what happens the other way about if the logic you hint at is extended.

Worth noting that Robbie has a really fragile ego and whenever he gets called out he can't hack it but he's happy to dish it out to others. Gave it large to Jordan on Talksport but then when he got it back he couldn't hack it, got called out a bit by Bellerin and he couldn't hack it, got called out by Loz from the True Geordie channel and couldn't hack it. Now in this situation he's backtracking massively from a shite mistake and anyone sensible would have let Troopz sit out for a bit.
