Why does the Carrick thread not pop to the top of recent threads? Is it just happening to me? I've had to use the search function to find his thread multiple times now.

I came to ask about an issue I had with a thread, I don't know if this could be related - I couldn't see the Baleba transfer forum - after the report of the bid being placed I was waiting for a bump and it never happened, I searched for his name and found the thread and saw the recent activity. I then realised I had the person who started the thread on my ignore list. When I removed them from it, it showed the thread at the top of the thread list again.

I checked the FAQs and apparently I should have been able to see the thread, so maybe something has changed in that regard?

Q: I really don’t like “insert username here”, how can I stop seeing their posts?
A: Use our Ignore feature to ignore them, however if they do create a thread of importance that you may be interested in, you won’t be able to see it unless someone else replies to it and it appears on the homepage briefly.

I don't know what 'briefly' means in that note from the FAQ, but otherwise, that's correct: you can't see threads created by posters you have in your Ignore list. That's a XenForo feature and apparently not something we can change just for the Caf.

Is anyone else finding this site on chrome makes chrome hang and not respond or run very slowly. The redcafe tab I'm using to type this using 1.5GB of memory, while my Twitter tab is 263MB

Yeah I can’t do score prediction on android or iPad. It appears for a moment and then disappears

I can't edit posts anymore since yesterday, anyone else having this issue? Frequently getting the "Oops, we ran into some issues..." pop-up when clicking on "edit".
 
Looks like same error when we try to edit thread titles and add threadmarks

Do you have an example of the post/thread title/threadmarks you're trying to edit? Sometimes certain characters in the text can cause issues.

For me it's been my last few (five?) posts in the NFL thread, just checked and not really any special characters as far as I can see.

After your post, I did some more digging and looks like the error is only for the NFL thread. Robin is also having issues in that thread.

I can edit the post I made here and I can edit the title of the other threads I created. So, looks like a thread specific issue?

Can you try changing the title to just "NFL 2026"

Another issue I noticed is if we take any post and click on the username, a small pop up comes up with few details. Even that is not happening in the NFL thread. But it works fine in other threads.

I tried changing the thread title, and I also get the infamous Oops message. I tried some other mod actions and also the Who Replied option, but it's Oops every time. I guess there's something wrong in the way the thread was set up - somehow?

Yeah it's like none of the thread "tools" work

And it is a recent issue. I have changed the thread title multiple times and added lot of threadmarks since the thread was created in February.

Last title change was sometime during the weekend I guess. Sunday or Monday. And i added a new threadmark around that time as well.

So whatever broke, broke at that point I guess.

Probably, but that threadmark just says 'Predictions' and at a quick glance, I don't see anything special in the posts either. Hopefully one of admins can find back-end stuff that can be fixed here.
 
I'm looking into it. Interesting that it appears isolated in that thread :confused:

Has anyone encountered this in any other thread?

Yeah it's fascinating that it's happening in only one thread.

Did some special character get added when I changed the title or when I added the new threadmark? Something on my end from the browser? Still pretty weird.

Only other thing I can think of is couple of external links were posted around that time. Could that cause some break in the format? But that was also before my last title change.

Or is there a limit to number of times you can change the title? Or number of threadmarks that can be added?
