Rules

R.1) All players named in the player list below are eligible and do not require proof of match. Any unlisted player born before 31st Dec 1939 requires a full match to be available to be eligible. Unlisted players born after on or after 1st Jan 1940 are eligible and don’t require a full match

R.2) In case of drawn matches, team with goalkeeper with higher value will win (Winning bid amount). In case of same value, the RedCafe keeper rankings will be used to decide the tie.

R.3) Initial funds of 700m for a 13 player squad. No substitutions allowed in the match but if you progress to next round, you must play your 12th and 13th player. By Q/F round, your entire squad must be utilized.

R.4) Reinforcement rounds to be announced after first round matches.

R.5) Within a 24 hour period, you should have 2 active nominations and at least 1 bid on the board else you are docked 10m (bar the first special round).

R.6) The reinforcement prices will be the final traded prices rather than base price (subject to change).

Loot Box Round

LB.1) The first round will be a special round, once this round is completed the auction will start on the draft mods instruction.

LB.2) 13 packs of players (as listed below) can be bid on, each pack has 3 players, however you will only receive one player from the pack, the selection will be made by random using random.org.

LB.3) The remaining players in the pack will be sent to the block list.

LB.4) The starting bid for each pack is 50m, every manager should have at least one bid on the board within the first 8 hours of the LB round starting, failure to do so will result in docked 10m from thier funds (unless there are extenuating circumstances).

LB.5) Multiple bids on multiple packs are permitted, however you can only win one pack. If you win more than one pack you will not be penalised, however you will be required to keep higher value bid pack, the other pack/s will be returned to the auction pool (the price will be reset back to the preceding price of the winning bid). If more than one pack at the same price is won the bid for the pack that expired first will be the one you receive.
If winning bids expire at the same time you may chose which pack you receive.

LB.6) Total bid values cannot be higher than available funds.

LB.7) Once you have won a pack you are no longer allowed to make any other bids, any other packs on the board with bids will be cancelled and returned to the auction pool.

LB.8) The loot box round will follow the same bidding format as listed in the 'Bid Process' section below.

Team Rankings

As we have 14 managers there will be an extra match at the end of round 1 where the 2 'best losers' will play each other and progress into the next round.

Best losers will be decided using seeding. Each manager will rank teams from 1 to 14 from highest to lowest at the end of the auction.

Block List

Pelé, Passarrella, Zanetti, Xavi, Ronaldo Fenômeno, Cannavaro, Didi, Matthäus, Thuram, Gento, Schweinsteiger, Maradona, Di Stefano, Moore, Henry, Cruyff, Iniesta, Cristiano Ronaldo, Platini, Kohler, Kocsis, Figueroa, Rijkaard, Duncan Edwards, Garrincha, Nesta, Romario, Redondo

In, and for those worried about complications it's only really the first round that has any complications beyond that you just bid how you like to fill your squad, taking care to make sure you've got money available to finish off your team.

As already mentioned it looks complicated but in reality it's really simple once you start playing. You just need to keep an eye on your funds.

Pass. Most likely i would mess up. THanks for inviting though @2mufc0
Give it a go! It's not that complicated once you start playing, you can always ask me any questions during the draft if you get stuck.

Looks a bit more complicated from the off, compared to traditional Auction draft, but if it isn't that time consuming, sure, count me in.

Maybe it's the way I laid it out  but it's a simple concept, any clarifications needed just PM me.

I would suggest to keep the loot box round as the last round and not first. Will be way more fun that way. No reason people would choose Cafu ahead of Di Stefano other wise.

Just realized player choice will be random. That is a shit idea and gives people an unfair advantage right from the onset.

I'd say rather change it to this way. Rank players from 1 to 3 in each pack. And have a price for each player in the pack. Let them choose a player themselves based on how much they want to spend.

I like the loot box round as it is. (And it must be first round this way.)

The randomness adds a nice bidding headache/gambling factor, because you have to consider the possibility of getting the least attractive player.

I personally don't enjoy the randomness. Auction draft is all about planning and a bad start would put me off.

I am not playing anyways, so my opinion matters for nothing, but couldn't resist putting it out there.

Sure, just a matter of preference.
