Aurelien Tchouameni | signs new contract til 2031, to be official after the World Cup

I had renewed sort of hope on this when Ornstein said on NBC keep an eye on this. Unfortunately Jose return has quickly extinguished that flame

Definitely. Tchouameni definitely fits the profile of a Mourinho player. Figure Baleba slots into his position among the 3 CM targets. Not sure who would be next up among 'pure' DM targets. Figure M Fernandes becomes priority (when it comes to transfer funds) then the DM slot. This assumes Anderson & Tchouameni are no longer options.

Would INEOS actually consider Valverde or Camavinga? A bit pricey I would think and not necessarily a good use of funds. Prefer we take a punt on someone like Chema (among RM related targets)

You think Mourinho would prefer Tchouameni to Valverde? Why?
He will play 4213
Toucha, Valverde at the base. Arda in front of them, Jude in role of Ali or Fellaini, and Jr and Mpabbe will hit on the counter. Mou is not some new upcoming manager, he is old school. They will be box office at the counter.

My question is if we consider the premise that only one of these players stay at the club, which one is sold.

Again, why. Do you see him wanting to keep Valverde? Is there a world in your eyes where both players stay?

Tchuameni. He and Camma are their failed project. Only question is who is enough crazy to give 80m for players who were "meh".
People act like Madrid is some circus. They have probably best "back staf" in the world. Coaches, doctors ect...
People love to call out Sneijder and Robben. Sneijder had one good season in Inter, and got lazy ended in Turkey. Robben could only work in Bayern because they pumped him up for CL games.
Yeah and their fans love Valverde its no bariner.

Your Robben take is absolutely weird.

Weird, wild, wrong. Robben was already Reals biggest threat 08/09 and just hitting his prime. He also had a great pre season 09 but due to Benzema, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Di Maria and others arriving he was shipped out. Can't blame Real as they needed the funds and Robben was injury prone.

Think he also still played more on the left back then (at least for NT) but was shifted to the right at Bayern due to Ribery being on the left. The world was lucky Real shipped him out because prime (speed, technique) Ronaldo on the left + prime Robben on the right would have been too much, well we sort of saw it later when Bale arrived.

Hes down to his last year at City isn't he? Suppose its get a fee now or lose him on a free in a year
City don't seem the sort to be desperate for the money let's be honest.

However I'm not sure they're a fan of keeping players against their will either, if Rodri wants a new challenge and he's coming to the end of his time anyway, they might let him go.

Because it's only way I see him leaving Real

Fair, as much as Tchouameni is a Mourinho player, Valverde is as just as much.

Rodri is more than the other 2 combined so I think there’s a good chance he leaves.

Yeah hold out hopes they go for Rodri as it could reopen the door for us to get this guy after World Cup

It would irresponsible of City to lose Bernardo Silva and Rodri in the same window.

Besides knowing how defensively minded Mourinho is, would he want Rodri ?
Rodri would probably be one of the players he would want the most. Absolutely perfect for Jose.

Rodri looks like he's dropped off to me, could just need a good run of games and pre-season and he'd be back to his best but i'd be selling him if i was City.

Apparently he has asked for Bastoni from Inter and wants a RB alternative to Trent. It was also alleged he's asked for a proper no9 as a point man who can hold up the ball, work the channels etc.. So who knows, how much money Madrid have and what will get signed off.

Oh he defo wants an alternative at RB

20 million plus Ugarte would do it. Jose loves his south american. Add Zirkzee for a cherry on top. Jose loves his dutch.

@giorno

So you hired General Mbappé as your DOF?
