He is addressing the fact that they never had the same game even at youth level. He does mention that some made a comparison but he also alludes to the idea that it was before these people saw him play.

The most informative aspect to this link is that it is Christopher Vivell himself who is driving it, according to the reliable Ben Jacobs. This isn't a newspaper adding 2+2=5 or the result of the scouting/data team identifying a target and us then trying to convince him to sign.
This is our head of transfers and negotiations deciding to pursue a player. He would not be doing so if he thought that the player was impossible to sign or unwilling to come. Vivell's entire career has been built on his network and his ability to use that network to make the type of transfer that other teams will view as impossible, or getting notice of a player's availability before anyone else.
If he is driving this transfer then it is very much a "realistic" transfer.
Loads of United fans hated Pogba, booed him in his final season and chanted ‘feck off Pogba’ to him at games. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s fallen out of love with the club.

Perez is a lot of things but silly with money for outgoing transfers isn’t one of them so he’s not going to let it be known that Tchouameni is available as it’ll mean a lower price, it’s well known they want Enzo and Rodri and BBC Sport reported that Real need to sell to fund Enzo but nothing will happen til after the World Cup anyway so it’s best we do Ederson and Mateus Fernandes then work on Lewis Hall and can then be patient.
Enzo and his agent are reportedly pushing hard to go there and Chelsea may accept players back.
Also the other presidential candidate facing off against Perez reportedly has Rodri lined up in his back pocket to announce if he wins according to the Spanish papers.
All to say that the window has yet to even officially begin, there will be quite many moving parts between now and the end of the summer at Real Madrid so it'd be crazy writing anything off on June 1st.

Didn’t know that about the other presidential candidate but with Perez wanting Enzo and the other bloke wanting Rodri it suggests they both see midfield as a priority area whilst already having Valverde who’s captain, Bellingham, Tchouameni, Camavinga who’s injury prone, Guler, Brahim and a couple of youngsters if memory serves me right so the one out of that group that brings money in and is most likely is Tchouameni but yeah Perez won’t weaken his position to maximise the fee.
Yeah we need to prioritise those two, however gut feeling is Newcastle will price us out for Hall and this transfer needs a lot to happen for Real stance to change

It was reported a few weeks back in few places that Newcastle need to sell to fund a big summer but don’t want to sell Guimares so their two most sellable assets are Tonali and Hall, with Tonali he apparently wants to leave and has been attracting attention by lots of clubs whilst Hall has apparently fallen out with Howe and reality is that Burn can play left back and they could bring in a cheaper squad option left back.
Given last season they should be looking to bin Howe off, not Hall!
If you’re a Newcastle fan then you’d definitely want that but I’m a United fan so don’t care if they keep Howe and want us to bring in Hall
