I think he’s a got a real chance of being a top CM.

I’m not overly convinced by him at CB. This could be another Declan Rice situation imo.
Was that rumoured to be partly why he left Arsenal (he saw himself developing more as a midfielder)?

Amazing the difference in opinion since that one half at West Ham. He's been brilliant since then, aside from maybe that one goal against Bournemouth.

Could be a really good player if he keeps this up.

Thought he was very good tonight but obviously wasn't playing on his natural side which didn't help him. Yoro offered more balance in that regard.
He was good but two of Wolves better opportunities came from his naive/inexperienced play and on another day could have been at fault for a few goals. First when their striker pushed him away and bullied him for the header which went over in the first half, and he got pinned wrong side for the chance where Lammens made the double save.

With our lack of available midfielders and forwards yesterday, I wonder if we would have been better off moving him into midfield. He's certainly better on the ball than the rest we had out there.

No idea but he plays like a midfielder who’s been put out of position at CB.

I just find it hard that a teenager who couldn't get a sniff at Arsenal is stronger, faster, more confident on the ball and a braver passer than most of our team.

Also actually mentioned winning the league the other day.

Feels telling to me.

Thought he was very weak for two of Wolves’ biggest chances. Fell asleep for that huge headed chance and outmuscled for that low shot that Lammens saved.

Been a bit of a shit month overall for us, but this is well deserved. Especially for that Newcastle game.

All these positive comments, worth keeping in mind Yoro was getting the same this time last season. Yoro now getting heavily criticised.

Heaven will have a dip like Yoro is. Inevitable with a young CB.

Heaven already had a dip. They all do. We need to be better about rotating them in and out. They are both players who need time and patience. Heaven in particular - a player who has less than 15 first team games.

Yoro has more than 100. They both have a long way to go.

I don't mean a couple of sub par games, which is what Heaven has had. I'm talking 6 - 12 months of in and out performances.

Why on earth would he of all players move to midfield. Someone like Martinez would be a better fit. Heaven's passing is just abotu good for CB, but in midfield we need much higher standard, you have much less time and play different passes, under more pressure.

True. Had forgotten about Martinez at the time of posting!

Hope de ligt comes back from injury soon. The only way to protect a young player like heaven is to not over-use him: so far he’s been very good though

Leeds United 1:1 Man Utd New
Despite his role in the conceded goal, he had another very good game.

Too slow on the goal. He's never looked like he had pace, but Aaronson is quick and got there when he was 2nd favourite. Was okay other than that

He's looking a ridiculous bargain.
Puts to shame the duds we've bought for crazy money.

Needs to work on his concentration levels. Good game overall but these sloppy moments cost us

Sometimes good, sometimes shit. Sums up United right now.

Good player. Good performance.

Thought he was good, obviously made a mistake for the goal but that shouldn't overshadow his overall performance

That's the thing with young players, they make mistakes. But that's his only mistake in like 3 games. So I can let that slide. He and Yoro need to keep pushing each other to be better.

So do old players, Gabriel only yesterday.

Still firmly behind him, he's excellent for his age. There isn't much between him and Yoro, besides scores of millions of pounds.

He's looking like the real deal. How could Arsenal let such a talent go.
He wouldn't get the game time considering the options they have in that position.

He's a good player. Big mistake which lead to the goal, but he'll learn from it.

Pity about the goal , other than that he was having another good game.

Young players are going to make mistakes and learn on the job , hopefully the experience gained today means he won't make that mistake again.

Looked assured apart from what he inexplicably did for the goal

Well said

Was a standout motm candidate until the leeds goal, he made a slight misjudgement in the threat but no other defender was anywhere near to help. Hes becoming a very good centre back and has a big future here.

I was impressed how aggressively he played DCL in the first half. Really liked seeing him go for it.
