He can play left back and midfield. I think hell be fine for minutes next season, assuming we don’t totally shit the bed in the cups and get into Europe.

He and Yoro have probably been the most affected negatively since the system change with Mainoo benefiting the most. Wonder if he might go on loan next season? We have Maguire (who I can see getting an extra year or two with Carrick) Martinez, De Ligt and Yoro probably being ahead in the pecking order.
He was doing pretty well under Amorim and clearly has talent.

Yep.Carrick should've put him at LB instead of Malacia, who was a complete passenger. Undoubtedly an error on his part.
This lad was looking like a young Rio Ferdinand until Carrick came in, it’s pretty disappointing how it’s gone for him since then. I understand it given our CB numbers and their performances in general, but I’m a bit worried that he might fall by the wayside or look to leave if he’s not trusted a lot more next season.
I don't think being 5th choice CB for Manchester United is a bad gig for a 19 year old lad. Especially considering that a few of those ahead of him have had major fitness issues and Maguire might be off.I was thinking about this, next season if we stick with this similar formation, we'll have the following CBs:
Maguire
de Ligt
Martinez
Yoro
Heaven
Heaven will be 5th choice CB.
Genuinely infuriates me that minutes were given to Malacia over Heaven.
I agree with this.I feel he's not getting any game time now purely because of Yoro’s price tag.

This place has spent the last 6 months apoplectic that Mainoo at 20 was 2nd choice behind our best player. Mainoo seemingly had that mentality as well so yeah Heaven as 5th choice isn't going to go well. Mainoo has shown you need to create a fuss to get games so Heaven and his agent will follow.
Mainoo had made a bigger impact at 18 and has played for England at the Euros doing quite well. Heaven isnt in the same ball park. He has all the time in the world to get more gametime and unless we sign a great new CB, the competition isnt so high that he wont be playing if his own performances are great. 8 starts is plenty at this point where he isnt as good as Maguire or De Ligt yet
It does too with me in theory, but Malacia has been gone since forever.Genuinely infuriates me that minutes were given to Malacia over Heaven.
He'll get plenty of game time next season for sure, what with our injury record at CB, CL games and hopefully longer cup runs. Maguire or not.Being called up to England means very little when considering players game time. There's a year difference between the two so you can't claim Mainoo is being held back and needs game time and then say Heaven has all the time in the world next season.
Heaven has shown he has what it takes and he's probably a more natural fit in his position than Mainoo is in a two man midfield. He needs serious game time or he needs to go out on loan next season. Kukonki can come in as that emergency 5th centre back.
I agree with this.
He's better and much more physically suited to the league.
With the injury records of our CB's, i firmly expect him and Yoro to be starting a fair few games together. At the moment he's 3rd choice, and you could make a case that he should be in over Yoro too, so he's definitely in the reckoning.I was thinking about this, next season if we stick with this similar formation, we'll have the following CBs:

What do you think Yoro has shown himself to be better at than Heaven in their respective time here?I don't think he's better than Yoro. Yoro hasn't been great recently and might be better in a back 5 in general as lot of defenders are but I'm fairly sure he'll turn out to be the better player in the near future
Heaven has great recovery pace
This season was always going to be hard on the fringe/young players.
But CL football next season and plenty of minutes to go around…Heaven will be fine.

Aaronsen roasted him. Dont think he got pace.
I'd strongly disagree, I think Heaven has been significantly more impressive. More assertive in his defending, more confident, better in the air, a lot stronger, better in the ball.I don't. I think that they've been about equal since they got here but I'm factoring in Yoros fee and reputation. I know heaven was more a niche signing and is looking like amazing value but I just think Yoro should end up being the better of the two eventually.
