I’m trying not to get too carried away but imagine how sweet it would be if we snatched it back off them next season. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility. They are not to be feared one bit and we often shut them down relatively easily. Hopefully the other teams in the league put a shift in against them and not roll over every time.
Their ageing team will need to be replaced very soon and they reportedly haven’t any money to spend (deemed ~£45m too expensive for Werner, for example). Plus you can factor in Klopp’s atrocious record at re-building teams and how his sides deteriorate rapidly after 5/6 seasons. All bodes well in the future for us and others who are not far away at all.
