Feet up at home.
I meant he didn't win the fight or the belt.

Whether he should have done or not is irrelevant. He didn't win, and rewarding that would just be bizarre - especially when actual Champions/record setters are on this list

... And Harry Kane
Can't agree sorry. It is called the Sports PERSONALITY of the year.

Fury should win. Kane has no personality.

Personality in this context literally means “famous person”. It’s a long winded way of saying Sports Person of the year.

Did Beckham and Owen have more personality/charisma than Kane?

Fury's personality is pretty questionable.

If that's the barometer then Lingard should be in with a shout.

The award is for Sports Person of the Year, has been for a while now. The personality bit is a red herring.

What does that mean? None of them should have even been close.
I think if you go back in the list very few will have stand up charisma in their personality.

It's just a title, reward them for what they do on the grass/track/court etc.

Has Flintoff ever won this award? He's the first person I think of in last 15-20 years as a sportsperson with a personality. Gazza beforehand who I think did win the award.

Awarded to the sportsperson "whose actions have most captured the public's imagination"
Fair to say that Owen did exactly that in 1998 and Beckham leading us to qualification in Roy of the rovers style against Greece in 2001.

You don’t have to be a brilliant extrovert TV character to win the award. It’s got zero to do with personality and never has. It’s purely down to sporting feats which had the nation gripped.

Just saw Murray won it over Mo in 2016. What a joke.

I know Murray won an Olympic gold and a second Wimbledon but Farah's double-double in Rio was historic in the context of all sport, not just British sport.

Yeah but tennis & a white guy. Bound to do well in this sorta thing. Pisses me off when horse racing nonsense gets nominated.

TBF I'm watching it and didn't notice any of them in particularly risque outfits although one was showing a fair bit of leg so could be on about here. Now Lizzie Yarnold is certainly in your face....

Farah has won it before though in fairness

Nice to share it around and all that

Edit - wait he won last year, nevermind

Andy Murray winning this proves your point.

How tf does James Anderson not make the top 3 but Harry Kane does? Nonsense.
