Yeah we would be better off signing Ryan Sessegnon on a free than paying £50m for Chilwell.
Whatever left back we sign will probably be just some low cost guy as a temporary fill on while Malacia is apparently missing, Shaw is recovering, and Amass is too young.
Gallagher in 2 seasons has played almost as many Chelsea games as Chilwell has in 4 seasons. There’s less than 10 games difference.
He was brilliant the first 2 years or so even if he was kinda prone to injuries even then, but over time the injuries have taken their toll and he’s now a shell of the player he was in 2020 and 2021.
Will gladly offload him to United for £25-30m.

Saying a player is an option but nothing formal is probably the safest bet at breaking a transfer story you can get as a journalist.

Yeah and when Luke realises his space on the treatment table is under threat, he'll start working harder on the pitch to make sure he gets a proper injury so Chilwell has to move out of his way.
