That is 24 names in the matchday squad list. Isn't the limit 23 players?
Obi and Kone aren't eligible so exclude them
Him and Kamason probably just going for the experience, don't see them getting on the pitch unless something crazy happens.
The 24 number comes from those listed in the picture, Obi and Kone aren't listed in that pitcure, so 26 have travelled and the squad can only be 23 so one is going to miss out.
No worries, my friend. I think part of the reason these kids have travelled is because some of them will be getting minutes at the weekend.
Already excluded and still leaves 24 names. There is one more person listed in the matchday squad who won't make it. I am guessing it will be Mantato, just based on seniority.

He certainly fits the profile of a wingback in Amorims system. Left footed RWB maybe, but I think his ability to use his right foot will make him an interesting prospect as it will allow for better variation in his play.

He’s a hard one to read. He looks like he’s got talent and of course he’s young so there’s a lot of time for him to develop etc. He looks fast but then doesn’t go past people a lot. I like that he’ll play the simple pass but then at that level I think from a winger you’d want to see more?
Forson had none of the tools to be a good player and yet we kept playing him in the hopes that he would sign a new contract. Isn’t he warming the bench at his new club?

Last year was a year of stagnation.
It’s so unfortunate that so many of our talented players go through lost years and years of stagnation while in academy. Injury-ridden years that sometimes end up costing them a proper shot with us.
Gore, Fitzgerald, Lacey, Missin, Ennis, Moorhouse, Fitzgerald in just the last 3-4 years ago. There is a pacy right winger that seems to have been injured for nearly 3 years out of his time with us.
Yeah hasnt really stepped up to the u21 level yet. Hopefully this will be the year for that and maybe he can break through the next year
I thought he was doing good until he picked up the injury in March.
I think as young players step up in intensity in training and quality of opposition then there is a likelihood that the injuries will creep in but hopefully when the body matures and is stronger with the training the injuries will decrease.
It is a bit of a lottery I suppose and some are lucky with injuries and some are not.
Even before then he was in and out of the team with little niggles here and there. I think he also moved a few times between U18 and U21.
You are right about it being a lottery though.
