Maybe you dont get the point? Last game he started he scored a brace but should have score another three from 7 glorious chances he had. Think about it. Mbeumo is a much better finisher right now and fitter player overal. Thats why he starts. fullstop.
Maybe that's because there isn't a point to get.

Yeah. Give him a start and play Mbeumo in his natural position or drop him to the bench...
This. sesko is a clear number 9, amazing striker who will score all different types of goals from tap ins to goal of the season contenders. Mbeumo is right side forward. He should compete with Amad.

Once Dorgu is back. We’ll have 2 players competing for each wing / wide forward spot and bring back Rasmus and we’ll have 2 number 9s.

Sign a dcm, a cm . 2 full back and this team is best in the league.

I would love if he spent some time with Zlatan, both 6'5" with a lot of strength and good skills. I think the main thing he could learn from Zlatan is cockiness, I would want Sesko to start bullying defenders the way that Zlatan did, make them afraid of him.

You have to play him against Crystal Palace

Clearly we've hit a bit of a wall with our performances and the current attacking trio, while Šeško has delivered every time coming of the bench (and even in his last few starts), so you really have to reward that with a start.

I feel like Zlatan would just tell him he's shit cause he's not Zlatan then beat him up whilst shouting about lions

Tell me how you bully an opponent in the modern game of football?
The only way you instill fear is by being very good at what you do as that is what scares opponents.
Zlatan would be red carded every third game playing now.

Not sure of the stats but his recent goals return based on minutes played must be impressive.

I think he now deserves to start. Amad can be dropped due to his form taking a dip. Lacey should also be on the radar IMO - his tantrum (quite understandable) was a while ago now and I’d like to see Carrick boost his confidence by getting him back in the first team.

He'll start I reckon, may improve the performance too. Both to score

Have you missed the chances Mbuemo has been skying over the bar amongst other things or?

Have you been watching any West Ham or Arsenal corners recently? You can still get away with all sorts of nonsense without any ramifications.

5 first time finishes.

He's not RVP but feed the beast when he's on the pitch:

Just remembered that the Everton goal was his 6th first time finish out of the 8 goals he scored.

Too small of a sample size but considering he messed the other chance when Dalot crossed brilliant for him and he had to take a second touch, perhaps there is a pattern here. Needs less thinking, be more direct and get the ball out of his feet quicker. I think it will come as it's more of a mental than technical issue but coming on as a sub has definitely helped him in that regard where the urgency of the play leaves him with no choice.

So we're judging players on their inability to score 5 goals in a game now.

United's total Xg for that game was only about 2.5 so you really are talking out of your arse here.

I'd like him to start, but it's perfectly reasonable for Carrick to leave things as they are. We're winning games, and Sesko has been brilliant off the bench. It's only his first season and we're playing just once a week - he's undoubtedly learning loads from the appearances he's been making and is growing in confidence.

No need to change things up. But It'd be great to see him start and continue to play well. I'd reluctantly drop Amad and play a front 3 of Cunha - Sesko - Mbeumo

Part of what makes us better is having strong options from the bench rather than shoehorning our best. We do lose a lot if we can't bring on a player like him.

Whoever gets dropped for him becomes the impact sub though.

If Sesko starts (as he should), Amad becomes the strong option from the bench.

And that is the only part of the game where it does not seem to get penalised for some strange reason

I think if Dorgu were fit, there'd be a better chance for Sesko to start because
1. Dorgu will cross it in more frequently
2. Our midfield would still be defensively competent if Amad is dropped for Mbeumo on the right.

Solely based on current form, I'd drop Amad/Cunha..

I hope Sesko starts on the bench. We need impact subs as we still haven’t figured out how to break low block defences. Sesko seems perform better when there is something on the line for him to secure or a specific role to play to impact the game

That is what has worked so far so I really cannot see Carrick changing it.

It is good when someone scores every time you take them off the bench. I mean in terms of Cunha/Mbeumo/Amad -- they know one of them can be hooked if they aren't at it. That's something Carrick will be using re squad management to try get best performances from all four.

Having said that, I'd start Sesko. If it's not working put Amad/Cunha on at 45 mins. But I'd like to see him start with us playing around his strengths (pace/holdup/finish).

Apologies to whomever it was in here whom told me he was fast and I didn't really believe him (I conceded the point to tbf but thought it was a made up stat). He was rapid last week.

Drop Amad for Sesko. Mbuemo is very good on the counter but he’s also good at crossing them in so Sesko should have some good service with him. Amad hasn’t looked the same since comin back from AFCON, maybe he needs to recharge.

I'd defo rest either Amad or Mbeumo for this one and start Sesko. He's earned the start in all honesty and it now feels like all systems go with him.

Incredibly satisfying header... good old fashioned centre forward play.

The Hojlund comparison should be finished. He is miles ahead. Hojlund wouldn’t be scoring some of these goals.

Now imagine if he was on pens like most of the other top scorers in the league

6 goals in 7, but this feels different compared to the Hojlund purple patch he had in his first year. I think he's gonna end the season strongly

He's also left a few on the table, wonderful to see it clicking for him right now.

Got all the promise of becoming quite some player for us
